Budgeting as a Family: Introducing Goalsetter, the Fun Finance App

Financial literacy is essential for both adults and children. With the finance app Goalsetter, you can now cultivate good fiscal habits across generations in a fun and family-friendly way.

Why we love Goalsetter: This app offers real mobile banking tools such as a savings account and debit card, giving kids hands-on experience with budgeting and spending. Additionally, it provides games and clever pop culture quizzes to foster financial literacy. Parents can conveniently pay allowances through the app and reward their kids with small payments for answering quiz questions correctly. Moreover, friends and family members can contribute money or gift cards on special occasions like birthdays, holidays, and other milestones.

Quick tip: Take advantage of Goalsetter Gold to open a brokerage account and begin investing in your portfolio or your child's. You can also enhance your stock market knowledge by tapping the graduation cap icon on the top right corner of the screen for a quick explainer.

Meet the creator: Tanya Van Court, the founder and CEO of Goalsetter, was inspired to develop the app when her daughter expressed her desire for only two things on her ninth birthday: a bike and enough money to start an investment account. "I thought, 'If we can get every kid to say that, we can change the world,'" she says.
