In the social deduction game Among Us!, players take on the role of Crewmates and work together to complete tasks while trying to identify the Impostor among them. The Impostor's goal is to eliminate the crew without getting caught. To succeed in Among Us, keep reading to learn some strategies that will help you spot impostors or avoid detection if you're the villain.

Pairing up with other players can help you avoid being ambushed.

1. Complete Tasks

Don't know where to start? Focus on completing tasks. Remember, the crew can only win if all the required tasks are finished. Find an available task and get to work.

2. Stick Together

Avoid being alone and vulnerable by sticking with another crewmate, ideally two. Being alone makes you look suspicious, even when you're innocent. Buddy up to stay safe.

As an Impostor, do your tasks convincingly to avoid suspicion.

3. Keep an Eye Out

After completing your tasks, head to the security room and monitor other players. Only impostors can use vents and holes. If you see someone emerging from a vent, they are definitely an impostor.

4. Spot Impostors

If you suspect someone is an impostor, keep an eye on the completed tasks gauge at the top of the screen. If the player appears to finish a task but the progress bar doesn't move, they're likely faking it.

5. Blend In

If you're playing as the impostor, act busy! Stand near task stations, sabotage ship systems, and pretend to fix them. Report the bodies of your victims to throw off suspicion. But be prepared with an alibi if others start accusing you.
