Audible Tips and Tricks for the Best Audiobook Experience

Audible Tips and Tricks for the Best Audiobook Experience

With best-selling audiobooks, exclusive podcasts, and Audible Originals, this go-to app for audio lovers has one of the biggest spoken-word libraries. Here are five ways to get the most out of your listening experience with Audible:

1. Download Audiobooks for Offline Listening

View all of your offline titles in one place.

No internet access? No problem! Tap the cover of any audiobook in your library to download it for offline listening. To see all the titles you’ve saved to your device, tap over to your library and swipe to select the Downloaded button near the top of the screen.

2. Enjoy a Minimal Interface with Car Mode

Prefer a more minimal interface when you’re driving? While you’re playing a title, tap its name at the bottom of the screen, then tap the car icon. You’ll see three big buttons: one to start and stop playback, another to jump back a few seconds, and a third to bookmark your location.

3. Extend Your Sleep Timer Easily

Tap or shake to extend your Sleep Timer.

Extending your Sleep Timer is easy: Simply shake your iPhone once the audio starts fading.

4. Sync Playback Across Devices

By default, Audible syncs playback across all your devices, so you can start listening on one device and continue on another.

5. Customize Your Skip Preferences

Customize your skip preferences in Player Settings.

The skip button is set to 30 seconds by default. To change the amount of time—or to skip by chapter—tap Profile at the bottom of the screen, tap the gear icon, then select Player.
