Find out in Honor of Kings. After a decade of success overseas, this multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) comes to the U.S. finely tuned and perfectly polished. Featuring an army of famous heroes, it’s built for MOBA vets and those new to the genre alike. Here’s what to expect when you storm the battlefield:

Tactical tussles

Team up with four other players to take down towers, destroy the opposing team’s Crystal, and protect your base. Each match is a tug-of-war as you battle over control of five map lanes, taking out assorted creatures (and eventually, enemy heroes) to level up and gain new powers. Mastering your character’s unique abilities—and meshing with the rest of your team—is key.

A rogue’s gallery

Whether you prefer to play as a Fighter, Assassin, Mage, Marksman, or Support, you’re sure to find a favorite among the dozens of playable characters.

Beginners may want to start with Luban No. 7, who knocks back and bombards foes from a safe distance. Like to tinker with machines? Pick Milady and watch her robotic minions nibble at towers. And to really light up the battlefield, don’t miss Luara, who torches enemies with a flaming serpent.
