The Clock Is Ticking: Solve the Sci-Fi Mystery in Three Minutes To Eight
Unravel a sci-fi mystery before time runs out.
You’ve got 24 minutes to solve a mysterious death—and the victim is you! In the trippy point-and-click adventure Three Minutes To Eight, explore a cyberpunk world and find a way to save your life before the clock strikes 7:57 pm. Each time you die—maybe by slipping on a cat toy, or being eliminated by a trench-coat-clad detective—you’ll restart the game with more knowledge and gear.
What we love: The mind-blowing story. Depending on the choices you make in each time loop, you might discover that your world is nothing more than a computer simulation or that you’re trapped in a demented reality-TV show. Are you sharp enough to unearth all 10 astonishing endings?
Quick tip: Simply leaving and reentering your apartment a couple of times can trigger unusual events, like the appearance of a long-lost girlfriend or the sudden transformation of your hallway into a smoky jazz club.
Meet the creator: Based in Estonia, Chaosmonger Studio made short films, documentaries, and music videos before transitioning to videogames. With Three Minutes To Eight, founder Nicola Piovesan hoped to mimic the altered state of consciousness we experience as we’re beginning to fall asleep; his inspirations included Studio Ghibli films, Blade Runner, and the humor in the Monkey Island games.
