See What’s New in iOS 18
Apple Intelligence across iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. New ways to personalize your Home Screen. A big update to Messages. And a magical Calculator on iPad. The WWDC24 Keynote gave us a glimpse of groundbreaking features.
Introducing Apple Intelligence
Drum roll, please! Apple Intelligence is coming to iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. It shows up in so many different ways, from proofreading (or polishing up) your writing to generating unique images to share (including creating your own Genmoji!). On-device processing, along with Private Cloud Compute, keeps privacy at the forefront of your experience.
Apple Intelligence also gives Siri an incredible boost, making it more natural, more contextually relevant, and more helpful in ways that are personal to you.
Make iPhone uniquely yours
With iOS 18, you can customize your Home Screen and Control Center to your liking: Rearrange your favorite apps in new ways, see app icons in Dark Mode or customize their color, and swap out the controls at the bottom of your Lock Screen. You can also lock and hide apps so they are accessible only with Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode.
Gaming will see a huge boost with Game Mode on iOS 18. It allows for higher frame rates by minimizing background activities while you play.
Personalize your process on iPad
iPadOS 18 puts agility at your fingertips. With the power of Apple Pencil, Smart Script smooths your handwritten text in real time. Math Notes in Calculator lets you type or write out mathematical expressions, insert a graph with a tap, and quickly access your work in the new Math Notes folder in the Notes app.
Mirror, mirror, on the...MacBook
Combine the power of your Mac and iPhone with iPhone Mirroring, which enables full control of your iPhone directly from macOS. The new Highlights feature in Safari detects and highlights relevant information for you as you browse. And you can access your login information across devices with the new Passwords app. An impressive roster of highly anticipated games are coming to macOS Sequoia too!
Vital tools on your wrist
With watchOS 11, a revamped Smart Stack automatically suggests the right app widgets at the right time. Interactive widgets and updates to double tap let you engage with apps in news ways. And Live Activities make it easier to see relevant information at a glance. Also look out for Vitals, a new app to help you understand your health metrics.
See in new ways
Transform your existing photos into spatial photos in visionOS 2. Travel Mode will now support trains. And there are new gestures for intuitively accessing your devices’ battery life and other key info.
Bring the theater home
With tvOS 18, InSight displays onscreen who the actors in a scene are and what the soundtrack is, while updates to Enhance Dialogue and subtitles upgrade your home theater even more.
