Truly stupid set of decision. Uber it is. Started outputting spam y push marketing notifications that just won't stop, despite disabling them in the app. And they hide the notifications setting in the least obvious location. Coincidentally this overlaps with Uber starting to operate in Oxford. So now I have an app that spams me until I delete it from my phone and a competitor that's ready to go. Great choice. Truly top notch. App about to be deleted and my business lost if this doesn't change promptly. ### 1/5 — Scheduled ride did not show up *2025-03-31, version 3335.1.9* I booked with 001 today to get to a business meeting with a ride scheduled for 14:15 during breakfast. The driver was on the other side of Oxford at the time. At 14:15 I was outside, but the driver was not there, and I saw that he was still at the same address. Now I’ll be late for my meeting. Won’t be using 001 ever again, and will tell everyone else not to use them too! ### 1/5 — Spammy notifications *2025-03-21, version 3335.1.9* 1 star until the spammy notifications stop. Also using phone whilst driving. ### 1/5 — Drivers generally good, payment doesn’t work on app *2024-12-31, version 3334.6.17* The last few times the app payment has not worked, recently even after prepayment, which then required calling the head office to make the payment with no apology. ### 1/5 — Slow and unresponsive *2024-09-05, version 3334.6.17* Drivers will not answer. Location services does not operate well enough for drivers to find you. Kept calling the support to cancel the ride but they said they would charge me either way. After 45 minutes passed they cancelled the ride themselves and did not refund the money. Scam of a business ### 1/5 — Airport Pick Up Never Works *2024-07-19, version 3334.6.17* I can never seem to prebook a pick up from Heathrow. The app lets you add the flight number from a drop down list but my flight number is never available on the drop down despite being on the official Heathrow website and there is no way to enter it myself. Not sure where the data is feeding from. I had once put the flight number in the booking notes but driver apparently couldn’t see it and hadn’t realised my long-haul flight landed an hour early. Also if you can’t book via the app and call, they ask for a full pre-payment for the airport pick up which I’m not willing to pay as I don’t want the hassle of getting a refund if they cancel or driver is too late. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2026-09-01, version 3338.1.0* Oxford students as a fellow student this app isn’t what you need. They started out as affordable and now their pricing is worse than Uber quite frankly it even those hail cabs. Worse still - they don’t ever refund your money if they overcharge. ### 1/5 — Overpriced and unreliable *2026-07-20, version 3338.1.0* Advertises itself as being cheaper than their competitors yet charges £3 more for the exact same trip using Uber. Ordered a taxi with a pickup time for 13:30 so I could get to work for 14:00 and the driver arrived at 13:55 with no apology from either the driver or the company. After waiting 20 mins still no taxi, call them to ask where it was, ….. a driver hadn’t picked up the job!!! Then they said oh a driver has just collected ur job will be 15 mins! After waiting 30 mins I could have walked home, wish I did! Called them again to ask where the driver was, they replied 15/20 mins! After 1 hour the TAXI arrived! I pre-booked a large taxi (it said minivan), as my family had lots of luggage. Going to bus station. I called ahead of time to confirm the booking. 2 min before the supposed pick up time, i was informed its a toyota corolla and not a van, fine, we might squeeze in. 1 min AFTER the pick up time, the driver called saying he his on his way as he only just got the job. Traffic in town was terrible (as it is every afternoon) so he wouldn’t get to us for another 30 min!!! OUTRAGEOUS. We had to change plans and drove into town instead. DO NOT USE 001 if you want to be anywhere on time. And you wonder why you lose business to uber. ### 1/5 — Worst taxi company ever *2025-07-22, version 3336.0.7* Totally unreliable. If you book in advance, they don’t actually allocate a driver in advance. This means I’ve been left without a vital taxi several times and had to then find another provider. ### 1/5 — STOLE MY MONEY *2025-06-06, version 3336.0.7* Ordered a taxi that after half an hour hadn't even been dispatched so I cancelled the taxi but because I used Apple Pay the app took the money for the trip straight away and now I have cancelled the order I have not received my money back and have tried to contact customer service multiple times and have just been ignored so have no other option now than too charge the money back to my card through my bank and WILL NEVER USE A 001 TAXI AGAIN!!!!!!! CRIMINALS!!!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t book in advance *2025-05-19, version 3336.0.7* Despite having a function to book a taxi in advance, it doesn’t actually allocate it to the driver in advance so it’s literally just the same as if you tried to book an asap taxi. So good luck at peak times. I’ve taken to booking the taxi 40 mins in advance in the offchance it’s late. For example last week I booked a taxi for 08:00 today and it still hasn’t been allocated at 081:13. I had to cancel and book and uber paying their surge pricing to get to the station in time ### 1/5 — Constant spam notifications *2025-05-02, version 3336.0.7* Multiple spam notifications every single day means the app has to be uninstalled as disabling notations will would means missed cabs.
