### 3/5 — Disappointed I upgraded

*2020-01-14*

I love the idea of this app and it has so much potential. I wish I could customize how much water I am adding instead of having to stick with the amounts listed. Most of my water bottles are 20 oz and that is not an option. I can do the math myself... but that’s what I bought the app for.

### 3/5 — Ok app

*2018-05-22*

I paid the $1.99 for upgrade but it only gives you the option to customize cup size nothing else upgrade isn’t worth it. It would be nicer if I could connect to friends via social media to encourage each other.

### 3/5 — This app has so much potential...

*2016-11-01*

The app does what it's suppose to do but there's a HUGE lack of options. I purchased the upgrade for $1.99 and even though it's pretty cheap, the upgrade feels like it should be the regular version. You cannot set reminders. You can customize the amount of water you're drinking but you're not able to add into decimal places. This can be tedious as
Most water bottles are 16.9 fl oz I've seen some bottles that are 18.4 fl oz. Now what I dislike the MOST about this app is that once you hit your goal, the app will NOT take in any additional water you've drake that day! You MUST start a new day before you can start adding additional water intake after you've hit your goal. This app has so much potential. The layout perfectly fits iOS. In fact I feel like Apple should incorporate this app into the stock HEALTH APP. But it's just so lackluster... I hope there's an update.

### 3/5 — Do NOT Buy the "Upgrade"

*2016-08-19*

App has a settings page you cannot view unless you pay $1.99. I was under the impression you could create your own glass sizes and schedule but when you make your own glass sizes, you're still limited to 3. Also you cannot create a schedule for reminders, just turn off "morning" "afternoon" or "evening." While the app is helpful in reminding me to drink, it also doesn't realize when I do log a drink. Ex: I will log a drink and 5 minutes later, I am reminded to drink. It's a little obnoxious but I spent $2 on it so I'm going to keep using it. Save yourself the money and don't get swindled.

### 4/5 — Efficient app

*2016-04-14, version 2.0*

Love the design, love the addition of force touch, please add Health kit support and ML unit option for drink sizes and will make this application five stars!

### 3/5 — needs more goal options

*2016-04-05*

everything about this app is perfect except I want to be able to make my goal 3/4 of a gallon instead of 1 or 1/2 gallon. please add this in the next update.

### 3/5 — U almost had it

*2016-02-07*

So I downloaded this app but didn't use it cuz it didn't have personalized sizes. Then the update came and said that it had personalized sizes and daily log, but that's not true. I paid and yes I have personalized sizes, but no daily log. U were almost there. Maybe next update I'll give 5 stars.

### 4/5 — So far so good👍🏼👍🏼

*2016-02-04*

Now that we have custom drink sizes(thanks guys!😁) the next update I'd like to suggest is something for those of us that work at night.. Maybe something akin the the "Morning, Afternoon, Evening" settings already there, just for nighttime.
Just a thought!

### 3/5 — As advertised

*2016-01-25*

Pros: it functions as advertised, it's nicely designed- it's simple and attractive, notifications actually help me reach my goal.

Cons: does not share data with the iOS Health app, keeps sending you notifications after you've met your goal, if you pay the $2 for the extra features and view your history it only displays days where you met your goal without mention of what your goal was or how much you drank on days you didn't meet your goal.

### 3/5 — No ounce customization

*2016-01-20, version 1.0*

Beautiful app but not being able to change the ounces to match your water bottle sizes makes the app become a water estimator and not a counter. Very disappointed to find that out after upgrading to pro. Please fix.

### 4/5 — Gallon app

*2016-01-18, version 1.0*

I like the simplicity with the app features. I would like to have customizable bottle portions and maybe time specific notifications.

### 2/5 — Okay But Not Really

*2016-01-18*

I wanted an app that would remind me to drink water and record my daily intake. It does the first thing okay (there's a little pouring bit that plays with each reminder) but there is no trace of a records area, which means you can't really see how you've been doing with drinking water. Also, you can't customize the sizes, which leads to either noting you drank less or lying and noting you drank more. I get that it's going for a simplistic interface, but it's too simplistic and the app suffers from it. Not worth the $1.99.

### 4/5 — Beautifully simple

*2016-01-18, version 1.0*

Great app for anyone who wants a simple and beautiful way to track water intake.

Developers said that Health App support is coming, I'll give it a 5 star once that happens!

### 4/5 — Looks Great, but Lacking Features.

*2016-01-17, version 1.0*

I'm really enjoying the app and bought the premium upgrade since I think it shows promise, but it would be great if Gallon could read and write water intake from the Apple Health app.

### 4/5 — Work well but needs Metric option

*2016-01-16*

This app works well but lacks the option of metric units for drink size and goal. Looking forward to this small addition in the next update.

### 2/5 — .

*2016-01-15, version 1.0*

UPDATE- I purchase this app but now I am not happy that the records section doesn't even update. It's just one single blue dot that is stuck on the same day. I have used this app for 1 week but you would never know that by the records indicator.

I try to drink a gallon a day. This helps keeps track. However, it would be nice if we could edit the sizes. Example I have a 30oz bottle I use everyday. Your settings for a bottle is set to 32. So I have to remember to drink an extra 8 oz of water after app states I made my goal.

### 3/5 — Gallon is pretty but not super helpful.

*2016-01-15*

Reminders are great, UX is easy, and beautiful.

However even going "pro" you can't customize the size of the glasses/bottle you use. Which is the functionality you think you're getting when you purchase it. If the point is that this is supposed to make tracking your water intake easier- let someone who paid 1.99 for your free app put in their own number of ounces for a water bottle. And I don't know anyone who actually has 8oz glasses.

### 4/5 — Good app, needs some extra features

*2016-01-14, version 1.0*

I like the clean look and simple design. Easy to use. Notifications are not annoying. Would like to see the following features added:

-customizable drink size
-progress that shows all days not just the ones where you met your goal. Maybe in calendar format?
-ability to see history for the day. Times and sizes.

I agree with other reviews that $1.99 is too much for the features you get unlocked. I think .99 and maybe $1.99 for a version which unlocks above features.

### 3/5 — Nice design, needs more customization

*2016-01-13, version 1.0*

At least let me change the bottle size. Otherwise, nice start and thanks for a helpful app.

### 2/5 — Notification issue

*2016-01-13, version 1.0*

Notifications not stop on even after deleting the app. Otherwise beautiful interface

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why upgrade

*2016-01-12, version 1.0*

I only upgrade to customize the water sizes. Which isn't an option. Lame

### 1/5 — Way too much!

*2016-01-12, version 1.0*

1 gallon is WAY too much water to drink in one day! Generally, you should have about 64 fluid ounces of water a day, but it varies based on your activity. A gallon is 128 fluid ounces! No WAY should you be drinking that much. Please don't try to drink a gallon a day- it can damage your health. Unless your an Olympic athlete.

### 1/5 — Can only choose from 3 glass sizes

*2016-01-11, version 1.0*

Deleted this because you can only choose from 3 glass sizes: 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz. Pretty lame that you can't customize something as basic as this.

### 1/5 — useless if you have an odd sized bottle

*2016-01-11, version 1.0*

app is useless if you regularly use an odd sized bottle. For instance Swell is 25oz.

will be a good app once they add custom bottle sizes.

### 1/5 — Not a realistic goal

*2016-01-10*

The human body generally craves what it's lacking. It's a marvelous machine that strives for homeostasis constantly. That said the idea that everyone should be working toward 1gallon of intake per day is asinine. If your activity level demands it okay. I know there are days I consume that, barely, but I also happen to be ridge running 30miles/day on the A.T. on those days, and the temp outside is usually in the 90s

If the circumstances demand it and your body is outputting correctly 1 gallon is fine. Short of that, you'll just become edematous and most likely hypertrophic heart failure will result from all the excess volume (that goes for any consumption in excess not just 1 gal)

Can't believe this app is allowed on the App Store recommending such excessive intake but medcalc isn't allowed to keep simple drug dosage calcs, weird world.

If you're getting this to track intake and not overload yourself, just get the nalgene app. At least it awards you coupons for water intake.

### 1/5 — Dangerous

*2016-01-10*

A gallon is far too much for the average human being. Big no no!

### 1/5 — Unintuitive.

*2016-01-07, version 1.0*

While this app is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use, it lacks many features that other water tracking apps include such as different volume options and a notification badge--none of which are "unlocked" with the $1.99 upgrade. Very disappointed.

### 2/5 — I love it but it needs work

*2017-05-31*

I love the visual appeal, I love the minimalistic look but I wish you had a calendar where we could look back at our progress, better customized amounts.

### 2/5 — Custom Drink Sizes

*2016-02-22*

I thought by paying for custom drink sizes I could add as many as I wanted, but you can only change around the three that are there! Oh well, maybe in a future release.

### 2/5 — Almost There...

*2016-01-18, version 1.0*

I do like this app, but it's missing some features that I was certain would be in the paid version.

I really, really want to be able to customize the container amounts. It's quite surprising to me that you can't.

Being able to record amounts in litres would be very nice as well.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2016-06-22*

This app is not annoying to use like the other difficult water apps on here.

### 5/5 — EXACTLY what I've been looking for!

*2016-05-22*

Was very excited to see a very simple, clean and well designed water tracking app where I am able to track my progress over time (since my water drinking habit is pretty established, I'm interested in how many days I exceed my goal). This is the best looking one out there and I've downloaded so many! The lack of extraneous bells and whistles is what makes this SO good. An Apple Watch app and Health Kit integration would make this that much better.

### 5/5 — Great App! 📲

*2016-03-02*

This simple and aesthetically pleasing water tracker is the best one I've used yet! I'm always forgetting to drink enough water through out the day so the reminders are great way to make sure I stay hydrated. The customizable size feature also makes the app incredibly easy to use!

### 5/5 — Sleek and effective

*2016-02-24, version 1.0*

This app is a great way to track a very important aspect of health. I feel more energetic when I drink enough water during the day and this app helps me keep up with it.

### 5/5 — it works

*2016-02-23*

my continued use of this app has directly lead to my body fat percentage dropping a whopping 5 percent points. I will continue to track my progress as long as I continue to be an avid user of the app 😄

### 5/5 — Excellent 🌀📲

*2016-02-21*

A really good water tracker with good looking colors and buttons and stuff. The in app purchase definitely makes the app better.

### 5/5 — Gallon galore

*2016-02-04*

I have more energy now and able to do thing I never thought I was able to do before.

### 5/5 — customizable water size plz

*2016-01-13, version 1.0*

everything is awesome except that it would be really helpful if the oz sizes were customizable for example my daily water refillable water bottle is 25 oz so it would be nice to have that option to put on there

### 5/5 — Very Useful App!

*2016-01-13, version 1.0*

I have always had problems drinking enough water body needs. This App's timely reminder is really useful in drinking enough water.Thank you Dev!

### 5/5 — Healthy readings

*2016-01-11, version 1.0*

Its a very simple and helpful app for the normal human life. Great idea
