Checking and practicing pronunciation is half of communication so I passed. It’s really annoying, especially when you’ve gotten really far and it doesn’t save your progress! Did the developers give up on this app? Yet, offers nothing else. As, at best, a companion to Duo, it is not worth the charge. Was changed $100 after first week and was told there is no way I can get a refund after contacting the app support immediately after being charged. My fault, yes, but feels a bit scammy. I requested a refund from Apple, which was denied, and I also contacted the developer but never received a response. This was a total waste of my money. However they need to fix one problem which is that the capital i and the letter l look exactly the same! It worked ok, not great, but I was trying to keep up with it until my subscription ended. I had no plans to renew. However, about a week ago, I started having problems with the sound. Some words still worked but others stopped working. I don’t think it’s my phone or my volume since some words work. So I deleted and reinstalled the app. When I did this, all my history disappeared. I am so frustrated. Instead, it renewed a full annual subscription without my consent. The content also looks nothing like the ads: it’s very basic, repetitive, and definitely not worth the high price they charge. There is no clear way to cancel or request a refund through the app, and customer support is unhelpful. Feels more like a subscription trap than a learning tool.
