## What is 100 Tour de France Climbs?

The 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs of the Tour de France app is the tool to use if you’re planning a trip to ride the mountains of France. Complete with all the content from the book of the same name and utilising your phone’s GPS you will now be better equipped than ever to track down the famous mountains and ride in the wheel tracks of legends. As with the other Apps from the 100 Climbs brand when synced with a Strava Subscriber account* the home screen will proudly display your score, how many of the 100 famous passes you have ridden, and of course how many you still need to ride.

Via the interactive map you can locate and be instantly directed to the base of each climb and then be taken to its fact file where you will see its vital statistics, comprehensive directions and also links to view the segment on Strava and Veloviewer. Strava Subscribers can quickly and simply check their efforts on each one, compare times over the years and see how you compare to the world’s best riders, many of which hold the KOM and QOM on these iconic roads. From the home screen you can also scroll through the list of climbs which can be sorted by difficulty, geographically, by ridden, or best of all, by which is nearest to your current location.

### 3/5 — Climbs are in one Direction

App seems to be pretty stable on the current versions of the iOS. I know other reviews suggest otherwise but no problems here.

Fairly easy and simple to use including linking with Strava.

My big gripe is to tick off a climb you need to have done it in a specific direction. So considering I’ve done trips to the alps and Pyrenees and tackled the climbs in the general opposite direction, few are ticked off. Annoying. Would be good to get the icons on the map to use two different colours depending on if you’ve done it one way or both ways.

Hoping this is fixed as currently really annoying.

Not sure it picks up all of my climbs, was at 5 and reconnected and now at 4. Good for checking climbs in the area but not if app still supported.

Love the app and am working through the French climbs as I have been the UK ones. 
However! - it would be great to have a function to manually tick off a climb as done. There are several I’ve done pre-Strava and a couple I’ve done either in the opposite direction or with slight variations. *I* know I’ve done the climb - would be great to catalogue all of them rather than just the Strava-segment-approved ones.

Well, having purchased 3 of the books I like the idea of this, but .....
Firstly, it hasn’t captured all of my ‘conquests’.  I’ll need to check Strava to see what’s that’s about.
The biggest issue is those hills that have been recognised.  Click on the link and the App crashes every time.  As I say, I like the idea of this app, so I’ve got the original 100 Greatest Climbs too.  It does the same thing (it count be argued I was somewhat foolish to purchase the 2nd app immediately after noticing the problem with the first).
That’s the great thing with Apps.  Bugs happen, they get reported and then they get sorted.  Let’s get this sorted.  Update required.

**Developer response:** I am not sure that you are seeing bugs here. Many people get in touch when the app dose not recognise a climb they think they have completed.The reason for Strava not recognising the segment varies, from the rider starting or finishing too late or early, riding the wrong way, or gps signal issue. No one has found a bug yet and we have about 10,000 users of all the apps. Have a look at the faq linked in the app and then get in touch if that dose not help.
