## What is 牧野100コレ?

このアプリケーションは、牧野富太郎博士の視線で植物園を探訪しようという目的で、博士生誕160年の節目に高知県立牧野植物園監修のもと企画されました。

 牧野富太郎博士は、「日本の植物学の父」と言われる明治・大正・昭和を生きた世界的植物学者です。 

生涯に1500種類以上の植物に学名を名付け、研究のため40万点にも及ぶ植物標本を収集し、数多くの「牧野式」とも呼ばれる精細な植物図を残しました。

 これらの博士による研究活動の集大成ともいえるのが1940年に出版された『牧野日本植物図鑑』（1940年北隆館刊）です。 

このアプリでは、同図鑑をベースに牧野博士ゆかりの植物100種を選定しました。

 主に、 
1. 名前（学名）を付けた植物 
2. 自ら筆をとって図を描いた植物 
3. そのほか、自宅に庭に植えて楽しむなどとくに興味の対象となった植物 
の中から、植物園で見かける植物を「普通」「レア」「激レア」に分けてリストアップしました。 

さあ、牧野博士からの挑戦です。あなたはこのうちいくつを見つけることができるでしょうか。 

それぞれの花の季節に、牧野博士になりきって、これらの植物を探訪しながら全国の植物園をめぐる旅に出ませんか。
