It is simple to learn and play, even for children, and is very addictive. You need to think ahead and watch your opponent's moves to maximise your score though. The premise of the game is that you are in a car race. Each hand is either 700 or 1000 miles long, with the first player to reach 700 miles having the option to extend the race to 1000 miles. The game uses a special deck of cards which includes distance, hazard, remedy and safety cards. Hazards are played to slow or stop your opponent's progress. Remedies are played to remove hazards applied by your opponent and safeties are used to prevent hazards. FEATURES Game Center achievements and leaderboards. Play against a computer opponent with two different difficulty levels. It’s become rare to win a hand. It could be halfway through the deck before I get a green. When I do, there’s an immediate hazard that I rarely have the repair for. And when I do have a hazard, the AI almost always has a safety. Old: It’s become rare to win a hand, much less a game. Pretty much every hand is the AI hitting me with hazard after hazard, and anytime I respond, the AI gets a Coupe Fourré. The bugs mentioned in the other reviews aren’t bugs at all, it’s not knowing the rules. The rules implemented here are how the game plays to the letter. I suggest other reviewers re-read the rules of the game (they are available free online). The AI is pretty cut throat. I like it. ### 4/5 — Good, a few quirks is all. *2024-06-23* This game is generally good. It plays generally how you want it to and for the mostpart, the cards are mostly random. It does seem to have a skew towards giving certain groups of cards on each hand. Such as sometimes you need points and you can't ever seem to get any, or if you want to put a bad card on your opponent, then you never ever seem to get one. I wish the placement of the discard pile as to where you lay down your cards should be swapped. A chat feature would be nice. When a round is done and no one could lay anymore cards, it would be nice if the game just finished rather than having to go back and forth to finish the game. Kindly refund my money for buying this game ### 2/5 — AI luck/fairness imbalance *2023-04-03, version 3.6* There are some decent elements about this Mille Bornes rework - the interface does the job and the guides on how to play are simple enough to understand. It’s also free to play up to 700m, without ad interruptions, which is a generous offer on behalf of the dev. Sadly it suffers from a massive imbalance in how the AI draws cards/plays. For a game which can be frustratingly unlucky, the AI seems to draw every card perfectly (even in the easy mode). If you use a battle card on the AI, they immediately resolve it by their turn. On the other hand, when you finally resolve your own penalty after many discards, they immediately spring a new one on you.
