### 4/5 — Good, a few quirks is all.

*2024-06-23*

This game is generally good. It plays generally how you want it to and for the mostpart, the cards are mostly random. It does seem to have a skew towards giving certain groups of cards on each hand. Such as sometimes you need points and you can't ever seem to get any, or if you want to put a bad card on your opponent, then you never ever seem to get one. I wish the placement of the discard pile as to where you lay down your cards should be swapped. A chat feature would be nice. When a round is done and no one could lay anymore cards, it would be nice if the game just finished rather than having to go back and forth to finish the game. In general though, I am pretty pleased with this app. It functions like the real-life card game and is a great way for me to play with my siblings afar.

### 4/5 — Top

*2023-12-02*

Petit prix, sympa.

### 3/5 — Android?

*2023-10-19, version 3.6*

There needs to be an android version, or at least an online game where people can play each other without having to go through their phone manufacturer.

### 2/5 — AI luck/fairness imbalance

*2023-04-03, version 3.6*

There are some decent elements about this Mille Bornes rework - the interface does the job and the guides on how to play are simple enough to understand. It’s also free to play up to 700m, without ad interruptions, which is a generous offer on behalf of the dev.

Sadly it suffers from a massive imbalance in how the AI draws cards/plays. For a game which can be frustratingly unlucky, the AI seems to draw every card perfectly (even in the easy mode). If you use a battle card on the AI, they immediately resolve it by their turn. On the other hand, when you finally resolve your own penalty after many discards, they immediately spring a new one on you. I can’t see how a game like this could see the AI be so fortunate with every draw.

### 3/5 — One-player game does not seem random

*2023-01-25*

I always play the one-player game. The other “player” gets a tremendous amount of speed limit cards. I have to hold on to at least 3 end of limit cards per hand, or I will be stuck every time. And, I rarely get an end of limit card. Plus, on the rare occasions that I get multiple red lights, the other “player” just so happens to have enough green lights.

If I get too far ahead of the other “player”, they will suddenly get 3-4 safety cards all in a row.

The game is fun, just wish it were more random.

### 3/5 — Decent version of Millie Bournes

*2022-08-16*

Game is nice, but needs IMPROVEMENTS. You should be able to draw off the discard stack like in the real card game.
Once you’re out of cards it doesn’t reshuffle the discard stack the game is just DONE. You have to get EXACTLY 700 or 1000 - no cards to put you over that number- which I guess isn’t a huge issue but the actual game doesn’t require such strict math.
In the true game the green light isn’t needed each time after each obstacle; once it’s fixed you’re back on the road. Seems like an unnecessary extra step, especially when they are so rigid with the cards, don’t reshuffle and you can’t pull from the discard stack.
In multiplayer mode there needs to be an opponent TURN TIMER; I’ve gone into so many games with randomly matched opponents and they take 30 minutes to HOURS to take their turn if at all and I end up forfeiting just to get out of the game.
Otherwise the game is good, just wish these improvements were on the way to make it awesome.

### 3/5 — Flawed logic.

*2022-02-23, version 3.6*

Good game but beware games against AI. The system almost always favours the AI. They get the green light almost every time they need it, and about 80% of time will get 3 of 4 safety before you even get a go card.

### 4/5 — Not Bad

*2022-01-27*

Works fine on my iPad 8. The computer opponent doesn't play to take advantage of the extra points for Delayed Action when deck is low. It's too easy to accidentally discard a card you want to keep if you're stopped. Wish the "Coup Fourree" pop up would disappear on its own.

### 2/5 — Another frustrated player

*2021-09-18, version 3.6*

The actual card game is great, with two or four players it’s really by chance what you draw and it’s evenly distributed. With AI, 90% of the time it starts off with a green light, I can draw 8 to 10 times before I even see a go card, by then it’s accumulated hazard cards so when a green card comes up Bam I get hit with that and then long draws before I get a remedy card and another go card. Meanwhile it throws down the 200s that it seems to always get, I can play 10 games before I actually see a 200 mile card, and when I need mileage cards they’re always 25 and 50 while AI is always getting the 200,100.When I do get some high mileage cards I always have a speed limit thrown on and I can never come across a remedy and I get six cards of mileage cards above 75 that I cannot do anything with. I have deleted it several times and rebooted it to see if things would even out.So I have evened it out by deleting it for good I’m just not having fun

### 2/5 — Cards go to wrong pile

*2021-08-15*

I love Mille Bourne so I was happy to download this. But far too frequently, a distance card that I try to play goes to the discard pile. At first, I would double-tap the card and instead of going to the distance pile, it would go to the discard pile. So, I changed to drag the card to where I wanted to play, but it would go to the discard pile anyway. I’ve deleted this game. Also, the hands are rarely evenly matched. One player trounces the other in most hands. That wasn’t really fun either.

### 4/5 — Good Little Timewaster

*2020-10-16*

Read the previous reviews and it appears that most of the bugs referenced earlier have been addressed. I’ve played around 150 games against the computer and regularly get Safety Cards, Coup Fourres, etc., but I have noticed a couple of things. They’re relatively minor but irritating: #1 - Around 90% of the time the computer starts out immediately with a Go/Roll card. #2 - The computer gets the Right of Way (most important card in the deck) around 60-70% of the time, and #3 - Most of the time the computer has an immediate Remedy card after I play a Hazard card. I still win probably 80% of the games so it’s not like the computer is obviously cheating, so I’ll recommend this game as I do enjoy playing it two or three quick games when I’m bored.

### 2/5 — Fun but Frustrating

*2020-09-19*

This game is addicting but the discard pile seems to have no reason to it, when you’re taking new cards some of them just go to the discard pile even when you have an open slot, and many times it’s the exact card you need to overcome a hazard card. So then you just sit. I just played a game where the one card I needed randomly went to the discard pile FOUR times, even though I had an open slot. And then the hand ends because the cards have run out and it doesn’t shuffle and let the game continue. I have looked through the rules thoroughly and there is no explanation for this! Also the Right of Way card goes to the AI player way more often.

### 4/5 — Nice, but needs work

*2020-07-12*

The current version does fix some issues, but there is still at least one obvious bug, as mentioned by another reviewer: when you play a Safety card in single-player mode, there should be an automatic Go, i.e., the top card should turn into a green light. Currently it seems to do that only when you’ve scored a coup fourré, and I’ve accidentally discarded miles cards b/c it was waiting for a Go. Also, it would be helpful if there were some indication of the number of 200-mile cards that have been played; I haven’t seen any. (On an iPhone screen there clearly isn’t enough room to display all the mileage & Safety cards that you’ve played, but a small 200-mi. counter could be squeezed in.) And although double-tapping generally simplifies and speeds up play, I’ve gotten into the habit of double-tapping cards I wish to discard, which works fine when the card is unplayable (i.e., most of the time) but I sometimes accidentally play a card I meant to discard. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious way for the program to know the player’s intent; perhaps another gesture could be added that always means “discard”. (Desktop implementations of the game have the luxury of a second mouse button for that purpose.)

### 3/5 — Decent but with issues

*2020-06-19*

This is not a bad version of Millebournes but I wish the developer would fix some obvious bugs in the single player mode.
1. When you play a Safety card, the top card should change to a Green light card. It doesn’t. This makes it difficult to see if the opponent (or yourself) can play a card. This is a glaring bug that should have been corrected years ago.
2. Many times, I’ve received a Hazard card and played a Hazard on the opponent then played a Safety card and got bonus credit for playing the Safety card. To get the bonus, you must play the Safety card immediately after being hit with a Hazard.
3. AI needs improvement. The opponent will continue past 700 without the points to make it to 1000. Why extend if you get more points by ending the round? Plays Hazards when it’s obvious this late in the game I have Safety cards. Not a smart move.

This game needs some attention.

### 2/5 — Frustrating

*2020-06-17*

The algorithm of this game is off. I am a very good player and have played different versions of this game. The computer player gets all of the green light cards one hand and I get none, or vice versa, or all of the red light cards, or all of the flat tire cards, etc. There are not enough end speed limit cards in the deck, that's for sure! Extremely frustrating to play, something is just off. I don't know if it's the card distribution or what, but going ten discards without a single mileage card but getting ten green light cards in a row is just off.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — AI programmed with Unfair Advantage

*2025-09-23, version 3.6*

Update: unless I cheat by starting a new hand I NEVER WIN a game. It’s become rare to win a hand.

It could be halfway through the deck before I get a green. When I do, there’s an immediate hazard that I rarely have the repair for. And when I do have a hazard, the AI almost always has a safety.

Old:
It’s become rare to win a hand, much less a game. Pretty much every hand is the AI hitting me with hazard after hazard, and anytime I respond, the AI gets a Coupe Fourré. I haven’t won a single game in a week..

### 1/5 — Fonction pas multijoueur

*2024-01-17, version 3.6*

EnNe fonctionne

### 1/5 — Nul

*2023-07-14, version 3.6*

Nul nul nul

### 1/5 — Cheating game

*2023-07-12, version 3.6*

This games cheats every single time
I’m all about some competition but when you have to play almost all discards something isn’t right with the system
I’m not talking a game here or there but like 8 out of 10 hands you don’t get a green light
If this is how it is playing against the system why the heck would I challenge a human?!?!!!!!
Kindly refund my money for buying this game

### 1/5 — Unbalanced play

*2022-03-11, version 3.6*

Out of 100 games, I won maybe 30. Most games, the computer received a minimum of 2, if not all 4 of the safety cards. Deleted.

### 1/5 — Devs should be forced to play their own games

*2022-01-15, version 3.6*

And the real game. If there is a pattern, then card distribution is not random. Gameplay issues aside, the drawing of hazards, safeties, and early draw of Go cards by the computer is unfair.

### 1/5 — Rigged

*2021-10-25, version 3.6*

If you win too much in single player mode, the game throws the game to the computer at layer. The cards in the deck are absolutely NOT random.

### 1/5 — « Play and pass » mode only support 2 players …

*2021-08-25, version 3.6*

Really disappointed… wanted to play with my family. But can only play at 2 players…

### 1/5 — Problem with random card shuffler

*2021-08-23, version 3.6*

Over the last few weeks when I played with my brother, the random card shuffler almost always tilted the cards toward him. He was the game inviter. He almost always got the cards he needed to win while I struggled to get a green light or safety card.

### 1/5 — Fixed!!! Computer Still Has Advantage

*2020-10-14, version 3.6*

Still not random drawing of cards. Computer still has obvious advantage which ruins the game. Rigged to give the computer the advantage

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fun, just like the card game

*2025-08-30, version 3.6*

I think this game is very fun and is a good pick for anyone who owns or has played the card game mile bornes the UI is simple but effective and the game feels smooth

### 5/5 — Well implemented

*2025-06-26*

I read other reviews and figured I try this since there isn’t a good Mille Bornes like game on the App Store anymore. The bugs mentioned in the other reviews aren’t bugs at all, it’s not knowing the rules. The rules implemented here are how the game plays to the letter. I suggest other reviewers re-read the rules of the game (they are available free online). The AI is pretty cut throat. I like it.

### 5/5 — Love it !!

*2023-02-09*

This is a great ! Game ! Very well done and spot on to the card game.

I remember playing this game years ago, I recently bought it again, after reading the rules, a couple of times over, I learned that the discard pile is just that , a Discard pile !
The complaint others had about not being able to draw from it, isn’t possible in the card game… maybe in some “house rules” but not in the printed ones.
The other comment about having to get to exactly 700 or 1000 is also in the original rules ! Yes it’s that exact math! Again, maybe in “house rules”
The complaint about needing to play a green light after clearing the problem played on you….. yes ! another green light is necessary as per the rules ! Once again, “house rules” I suspect to make it easier for younger players.
There is a bonus score for completing the trip after all the cards have been played. So, reshuffling isn’t possible either.
This is a great digital version of that card game !
Well Done !

### 5/5 — Fantastic Game

*2021-08-02*

This is a great version of the game. There are small bugs here and there, not enough to down the review. Like once in awhile I have to go back to lobby to see it’s my turn in multiplayer. Otherwise been playing for years now. I just with they would allow more than 2 players in multiplayer.

### 5/5 — Impressive little game

*2020-07-10, version 3.6*

Cool implementation of the Mille Bornes game. The only thing I wish were different is I’d like a plain background option. I find the scenery that changes between each game a little annoying.

But the game play is good and there are no ads even if you don’t purchase the game and that made me want to purchase it more - so I did. It’s cheap and it’s a good game. Thanks developer!

### 5/5 — The best of the MB game clones...!

*2020-05-08, version 3.6*

The best of the MB game clones that I’ve found for IOS devices. I’d only change the card faces and backs to the older, more traditional designs. (I’ve been playing MB for five decades.) However, very fluid at quick gameplay—I only ever play single player-vs.-computer. Upgraded for a buck, in order to have the option to extend games from 700 miles to 1,000 miles.

### 5/5 — Mille Bourne Cline!!!

*2019-10-31, version 3.6*

Excellent free game. Plays just like the original. The computer opponent is a worthy adversary! Definitely will sharpen your game skills for playing the manual version.

### 5/5 — Great Mille Bornes Alternative

*2018-07-30, version 3.5*

Excellent homage to Mille Bornes. Layout and sound are high quality. If only pass and play supported four players. This is worth more than the $0.99 asking price.

### 5/5 — Just like the card game

*2018-03-06, version 3.3*

I have been playing this app for some time and it works just like the card game. The app is smooth and the game runs flawless. Well done!

### 5/5 — Great version of a classic

*2018-01-24*

Love this app & play it constantly. However, there is a bug that manifests itself in scoring... sometimes, the Right Of Way card will NOT coup fourré when played immediately after a hazard. This happens most often when the red light or speed limit hazard is played & the RoW is the next card drawn. However, it also happened once when a speed limit was played & the RoW was already in my hand.
