## What is 1000Yen Eats?

1000Yen Eats helps you find cheap meals in Japan. Every restaurant on the map serves at least one main dish for ¥1,000 or under.

NO SIGNUP REQUIRED
Use the whole app anonymously. Optional Apple Sign In if you want to log meals, build streaks, and follow friends across devices.

PRIVACY-FIRST
• No ad networks, no tracking SDKs, no IDFA, no analytics SDKs
• No App Tracking Transparency prompt — we have nothing to track
• Location is used only while the app is open, never stored on our servers
• Your meal logs and photos are private by default

WHO IT'S FOR
Travellers on a budget. Students living in Japan. Anyone who wants to eat well without spending much. Especially useful if you're tired of inflated travel-blog "cheap eats" lists that quote prices from 2019.

WHAT IT'S NOT
Not a review site. Not a ranking. Not a reservation engine (yet). Just a map of places where you can eat for under ¥1,000.

DATA SOURCES
Restaurant locations and basic info from OpenStreetMap and Google Places. Map tiles from Mapbox. Provided as-is — always verify hours and prices with the restaurant before going.
