Works alright but doesn’t live up to the brand

Moon makes exception audio equipment. That said, this app does not match the quality of their gear. It gets the job done but lacks the polish of their industry leading hardware.

That said, the only feature that is critically missing is the ability to utilize the Tidal Track Radio feature. Tidal’s music discovery is amazing and the Track Radio, which is the ability to start a curated radio station from any single track, is the best way to unleash this discovery. It is a huge omission from the MIND2 that this is not supported. As a result, I resort to using Tidal on my PC via USB, which means I miss out on MQA.

Great app getting better

I use this with my mind 2 streamer. Works really well , no need for Roon for me! I wish there was an option for software volume control though like dcs and lumin offer

Very Slow compared to other music streaming software

Tidal particularly operates very slowly in the Mind controller, especially compared to my Naim or Roon software. All running on the same network.
It takes 3-4 seconds to open anything you’re click on. In the Naim app it happens almost instantly.
Very disappointed considering the price I paid for the system.

Perfect system

Great app with huge potential. Constant updates are very reassuring.
The hardware is second to none. If you don’t own a Simaudio unit - get one!

Stay away from this version as it can’t find my minimserver. The support for this issue is atrocious as my ticket to them has not result in any fix.

Device sleep stops playback

I had the iPad sleep and playback issue fixed and working prior to this update but now it’s not working again...pulling my hair out and I don’t have a lot to pull...plz fix asap!

Dont update the apps for convenience

since. latest update , i can’t stream no radio from either vtuner or tune In radio anymore .

brought device to store and they did test and didnt find anything problematic with my device unless you force the update of the apps .
stop working as soon as you update the app.

good luck fixing that one

Latest updates seem to be working a treat! Well done Moon! Now, can we please please please get native support for Amazon Music HD beside Tidal et al :-D

Improved: works well

Used with a Mind 2, the app is now stable and straightforward to use. I use it only with Asset upnp and tune in radio: works flawlessly with both on all source material.

HOWEVER, both reliable access and stability depend on having a wired internet connection. On WIFI — with an excellent router and solid signal — the Mind 2 and app did function, but often did not connect without multiple attempts, and there were some streaming interruptions. With wired connection direct to the router, no problems.

Next update should include a home button and source button on all screens.

After today’s update, you may need to run a firmware update on the Mind2 itself; otherwise the app may lock up, as mine did. After updates, all runs well.

Also, we are aware that we need some improvements on the UI, but in the meantime, here is quick tip : while browsing any sources in the Library List, you can tap the title of the window to go back to root of the browsing view. As with all apps there can be issues. I am writing a positive review unlike the people who moan but never praise when problems are solved. Well done to the developer for keeping their APP fresh and modern.
