  • Get Kicked Out Immediately (If I Even Get Logged In)

I’ve tried many times to log in, with the correct account information, and I either am told it’s incorrect or, I’m still let in for maybe 2-3 minutes only to then be kicked out again (and told it’s the wrong information). I’m not sure how I could have the wrong log in information if, when I do get let in, I see my license plate number and all of my forms of payments I’d previously entered.

What’s most frustrating is, I’d love to send the developers a message and communicate with them directly but I can’t even stay in the app long enough to do that. And I send a request to reset my password, just in case that was the issue (even though, again, I’d managed to briefly get in more than once) and I’m still waiting almost a week later for the reset email (actually 2 emails were requested).

I’m curious what’s the point of the $0.25 fee for using the app each time you pay for parking. Is it not supposedly for helping maintain it and improve issues that get reported? Maybe I’m wrong but either way, this app could use marked improvements and it’s really disappointing that there’s no one to even try to communicate with about it because there are some people who may really need/benefit from the app over finding a pay station (which the last pay station was comically broken in additional to the app 👍).

  • Step backwards from previous app

Lowering rating to 1 since live activity on Lock Screen is still missing. New app has one or two nice features, but not a better user experience. To improve: 1. Add support for Live Activities on the Lock Screen. This is a much better way to monitor parking instead of a push or text notification. If a focus mode is enabled, you may miss a notification.
    2. App is always logged out when I go to use it. Change logout frequency. 3. Default to number only keyboard to enter space number. 99% of spots are a number or searched by number, not address. Extra press to get to numbers on keyboard.

  • Amazingly Unstable

For an app that should be remarkably simple to use, this app is amazingly unstable. I downloaded it when a parking kiosk wasn’t working. That was the only time I was able to get the app to work. Since then, I have yet to be able to complete a transaction and pay for parking remotely, Out of about five additional attempts. The app gives me a wide variety of excuses for failure, including their payment system cannot accept payment right now, try again later. Sure… I’ll just explain that to the towing company. In Minnesota, especially with the weather, that’s simply unacceptable.
    Developers, get the bugs out.

  • From Fine to Obnoxious

Will it recognize this parking space? Will it remember my account? Will it let me use Apple Pay or force me to enter in my credit card AGAIN? Will it connect at all? Who knows! It seems to be different every single time I use the app.

Not sure what happened since the big update, but I’ll happily give back the refreshed UI in exchange for the functionality of the old app.

Don’t be fooled by the almost 5 star average rating; the current version of the app is inconsistent and frequently useless. I’ve had to just get out and use the pay machine several times because this app fails for one reason or another. Not sure what happened since the big update, but I’ll happily give back the refreshed UI in exchange for the functionality of the old app.

  • Terrible app

It is very poorly designed with the most important details like the number of the spot and amount to be paid made as obscure as possible while there is a giant unnecessary map in the main screen. Just make a simple useful app that people with reading difficulties can read fine. I hate clicking through numerous menus in small font while sitting in the car for 5 minutes. Learn to design a good app from apple and do not include that many useless information on the page. I need to only be able to type the number of the spot and the duration. That is all! How difficult does it need to be?

  • New MPLS parking app

Extremely difficult to to use. All data from previous version was not carried over. Plus no easy way to update the new app. And no early notification of change until the need to park and then the new app is impossible to set up in time.

The previous app worked much better and easily.
  • Poor design update

The new design is significantly worse than the previous design. The entire app is less modern looking, the inputs and text are way too small, the time dial is visually cluttered and overwhelming, and because of these things I have less trust in this app to function properly, keep my information secure, etc. (not to mention the accessibility violations).

Having the larger “add vehicle” input at the top when the map first opens confuses me every time. When I open the app my primary goal is to begin the parking flow, so the obvious first step should be to add the zone #. I already have multiple vehicles saved, so why would that be the primary, eye-catching input?

I have also tried saving my credit card multiple times, but am still asking to enter my card information every time I park.

I hate the new app. It is not an improvement in any way over the old one.

  • Old app was better

This app looks nicer but is more difficult to navigate. User interface is rather clunky; transfers to several different windows before you can submit parking. Bigger issue: tried to contact support using the email function in the app - rec’d error message that email was not set up (must be the app and not mine since my email is absolutely included on my account). I’ve been unable to use this app when parking at Minnehaha specifically. It’s not worked since the app was updated. Not to mention the price is 2x as much at the parking meter ($1/hr- app, $2 - meter) and there is no option for incremental increases in time (usually option to increase time by 30 min., etc.). Overall very disappointed with the new app.

  • New update is garbage

Previous app version would save previous parking spots for quick access, this version does not and you have to rre-search what spot you’re in even if you were just there the day before.

The new version gives the user an option to save their credit card info, the last 5 times I’ve used the app, I’ve clicked the button to save my info. My info has never saved.

I don’t know why they bothered with this update, it wasn’t done! Very disappointed and honestly disgusted. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

  • The Revised App is Beautiful

Excellent improvements have been made to the interface, which is good because switching from the ParkMobile account was a bit of a pain. I’m happy to say it was worth it, with thoughtful little features like dialing in the time that you want to park and a far more functional map. I always know where I am in the app and exactly what I’m doing. ParkMobile could take a lesson on user-focused design here.
