I no longer even care about whether I listen to Dave and Chuck anymore. I’ve been listening since Drew and Mike and I love D and C but it’s just really disappointing. Listening to commercials when you first sign on if you’re listening through your phone. It’s really frustrating and not worth it anymore. PS I miss Andy Green. ❤️ ### 3/5 — Randomly plays. *2025-04-15* I won’t even have the app open and it’ll play at 545am. There’s not way to turn that off. Even had a DREAD card. I now live in Midland Texas and started listening again because we don’t have a decent rock station down here. Love the music, Dave and Chuck are pretty funny but I’d rather hear the music. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t save my place when listening to podcast *2024-01-25, version 7.1* I am getting really tired of having to find the spot i left off in a podcast the next time i get into my vehicle or reopen the app. I never closed it in the first place. Why does it all of the sudden just loose it? ### 2/5 — Would senior blockers stop all the crashing?? *2023-08-11* Nothing else on my phone stops what’s it’s doing or has to be reset or in some way manipulated every 4 minutes to make it work. With out fail if I put my welding helmet down as soon as I get to work the sound just stops. I don’t honestly know how I can stand to use this app every day but i some how do ### 1/5 — Does listen live ever work? *2021-08-02, version 3.4.0* Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and multiple times a week I can’t hear Dave and check the freak live. Same issues trying to listen on iHeart radio. ### 3/5 — Love it but a small issue *2020-12-21, version 3.4.0* I’ve noticed when I go to listen in the morning it says live but it’s playing something from a different day and won’t be the current day. However there are a few playback issues, mainly starting up a stream. The app seems to struggle pretty badly with starting the stream and is practically impossible to start back up if you want to switch back and forth between other media players like Facebook videos or YouTube videos. I was actually able to search up the app manually, type, edit and post this review after hitting play on the app. All because I watched a Facebook video while the stream was in play. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2020-10-26, version 3.3.9* It worked long enough to play an add, but won’t play the live content. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — More ads than radio *2026-06-12* The app is more ads than radio. Hit Play: Pop-up ad Hit Play: Pop-up Commerical Hit Play Again: Multiple full length commercials By the time you actually hear the show it’s been 10 mins. Now the app has started failing and stops playing (on purpose?) so you have to start all over every 45 mins or so. ### 1/5 — Great content, poor application *2026-02-03* This app glitches out all the time. I listen to the archived pod casts and it frequently just shuts down. If I connect to my vehicle drive, run in and then go to listen again, the app just closes and I have to start over. It may be editing but there is commonly repeat overlapping. Sometimes the app doesn’t respond at all. I’ve updated my phone, no change. Poor quality application. ### 1/5 — Unnecessary commercials *2025-11-13* Overall this app is ok. Except when the show will stop and it will randomly play a commercial. If you loose connection and reconnect almost immediately, another commercial. I would understand this is how they make revenue, but I don’t want to be listening to Dave and Chuck and the app interrupts the show with a stupid commercial. Or when you join the app and the show is going on but you have to wait for a commercial to finish and miss what was going on. I usually just close out the app and listen to my music. Not worth it ### 1/5 — Popup Popup Ad *2025-08-07* I’ve stopped listening to WRIF due to this app. You open the app… Pop-up. You hit play… Pop-up ad. You hit play AGAIN… plays a 5 min advertisement. By the time you actually get to the live radio content you’ve wasted so much time it’s not worth it. Not to mention, if you hit stop for a minute you have to repeat the whole process. Unusable. Lost a listener. ### 1/5 — Poor connection *2025-07-16* The connection is always dropping and then I can’t open the live radio back up. Disappointing and needs work. ### 1/5 — It’s just ads *2025-06-10* Ads. The only thing that played for 10 minutes was ads. Don’t waste your time. ### 1/5 — Would go lower if I could. *2022-01-19, version 3.4.1* Regularly stops playing for absolutely no reason and forces you to listen to the same ad after you HAVE to resort to just restarting the app. Plus all the on screen ads. And it’s radio so ads there too. I only listen for Dave and Chuck. This is the last straw. Just listening a day late on Spotify from now on. ### 1/5 — Terrible APP *2022-01-14, version 3.4.1* APP constantly stops working, commercials always play but show freezes and stops.
