must have in your life!!!
I needed to save about 1,600 and i put in all the info on the app and kinda just forgot about it, (to be honest i just didn’t think it’d work so i left it alone). Then just now literally as i’m laying in bed checking my bank transactions i see that Digit had taken from my account. So i go to the app and it had a balance of like $215 or something and i realized that was my savings. every day Digit takes a little money out of your account and it takes an amount based off what you have in there and what your expenses are and puts it away. it also gives you how many days until you reach your goal (mind was 44 day) but i mean 6 weeks that’s not that bad when it does it all for me. it feels like i just wait 6 weeks and then my reward is $1,600!!
i highly suggest this app if you have a savings problem, i’m excited to see how this works out.
I’ve saved a lot!
Helpful and easy to use
Any time you create a goal, you can select a particular amount and an optional target date. It predicts how much you’ll need to save each day to meet that goal on time, BUT there’s also a tool for a maximum daily amount if you don’t want it to be regularly taking chunks. You can manually add amounts when you’re ready, and can withdraw at any time, with a $.99 fee for immediate transfer or free overnight transfer.
I’ve been on three trips now using Digit to save up and really appreciate how easy it makes to save. It’s also satisfying seeing the progress bars approaching the goal.
I just wish there was a marker line to show if I’m ahead or behind schedule on deposits to make the goals on time. For example, I have goals that predict needing to save $5/day, but I set the maximum daily amount to $1, and make manual deposits of $25 or $50 on paydays. I’d like to be able to compare the current amount to the benchmark for where I should be given the goal date.

Hi there ,thanks for the kind words! We're so happy to hear that Digit is helping you on your savings journey. I've gone ahead and passed this feedback on to the rest of our team. We've seen this suggestion a few times, and it does fit inline with some what we see Digit evolving into down the line. The good news is, we are currently making revamps to many facets of Digit, so hopefully that feature or something similar gets rolled out in the near future!
Digit is your guardian angel!!!
Fast forward a while later, I had met someone while traveling and we began dating - a few years later the relationship hit the fan and I needed to move out ASAP. I didn’t have the money to get my own place and we were on an island where I had no friends or family. I randomly looked on my digit app at my “rainy day savings” and I had saved over $5000!
THANK YOU SO MUCH to the developers of this app who helped me create a safety net and get myself out of a bad situation. I further went on to move into a beautiful apartment on the beach in Hawaii and my life really took off in a healthy direction after that. I can’t say enough good things about this app!!!
Fantastic service, terrible ads
Now, here is my qualm that is rather insignificant to the performance of the app itself, but notable still. The advertising is terrible. It makes the app seem sketchy when it really isn’t. They need to start investing in advertising that establishes them as a legitimate company instead of making it look like a scam!
Nonetheless, five stars.
Very Disappointed
Inaccurate info

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had. In regards to the separate debits you’re seeing on your checking account, Digit will create separate savings for the credit card goal you have set up. This will usually say “xfer” in the description on your checking account. If you have any other questions or concerns about the debits you’re seeing, feel free to reach out to https://help.digit.co/ and we’d be happy to take a look into that, as well as any credit card payment that you need help locating. We look forward to hearing from you.
Amazing and helpful
Great habit to have when you’re a college student
I think a lot of these new reviews that give one star are pretty unfair. Most of them seem like communication issues with their bank because I’ve never had much issues. Also, I think $2.99 is fair for the service they do. People can’t expect everything in life to be free. If what you’re saving is not or barely $3 a month, then I think that’s a personal finance issue that you should be focusing on, not the app charging “unfairly” but that’s my opinion.
The only thing I would say could use improvement is if they can update my checking account balance closer to real time because sometimes it’s delayed and shows either yesterday’s balance or something.
