Why?

More of a question than a review, but why would you have everyone download a price book only to have to download the price at each and every call, just stupid

Too many issues.

My issue with service titan is it resetting when I’m in the middle of filling out forms or uploading pictures. The screen will go white and then the app restarts. At this point everything I was working on is deleted and I have to start over. The only thing that will make it work correctly for a little bit is by deleting the app and reinstalling it, which really hinders work flow when you have to do it 3 times a week. The other biggest issue is that it takes forever for it to sync, and it does not work properly offline like we were told it would. In my opinion, service titan is not worth the hassle.

Never ending pop-ups and glitches

I think this app is onto something, but until they discover execution and remove annoyance, this app will end up being the Skype of home service; left behind.

Every 3 seconds or every button press on this app, a little window pops up that says
“A setting on your device is annoying me- fix it!”
It makes it almost unusable. Unless you surrender fully to the apps demands about invading every oriface of privacy you have 24 hours a day and draining 100% of your battery every 2 hours of standby, in which case they switch to an onslaught of “rate me on the App Store”
There is no setting that turns off these incessant popups and it makes it almost unusable.

Speaking of unusable, attempting to enter information in the equipment section or filling out a form is a test in patience and device durability, as it usually ends up getting beat against a wall when service titan deletes all my inputs/glitches so I can’t scroll and have to close and lose all my inputs/ zooms in so far when a text box is activated I can’t see what I’m typing and have to redo it 4x/ just ignores the inputs, never changing anything until you restart the app for the 4th time on-site.

It’s a fairly simple system, eventually someone will make one so perfect no one will turn back. Will it be service titan? It certainly isn’t today, but if they can find their big boy pants the spot is still open!

Compare w/MAJOR features before deciding!

First, Let me say this is one of the most expensive softwares to utilize for a service company. Stating that, we had ESC before ServiceTitan- and Servicetitan is a Downgrade as far as features are concerned. Have on-call technicians? good luck, they'll need a separate Office account to see the important info. Have important Location notes? no provisions for those here! your technicians will just have a very small "Pinned Notes" selection for ANY and ALL notes to open up(that you have to scroll to see) and it's buried so you're sure to miss it. Cant have a Picture in equipment list for nameplates, Can't have a layout/blueprint or Profile anywhere other than jumbled through the other pics in the "Photos and Videos" tab(no folders/etc.). Field techs, which are relied on for data input and such can ADD equipment, but it doesn't save anything if they Edit it. Lacks a lot of features- They should boot up ESC to see what they're missing.

Garbage

Absolutely unusable on a small or medium screen. I haven’t seen a more thoughtless, clunky, restricted UI/UX. In addition to the horrid interface, when using this app you are limited to about 10% of the the features shown in sales demos or on the website. Those features are only for full screen desktop admin users and many of the features are “pro” (additional costs) although for the price we pay for this software we should be getting the kitchen sink.

Pretty okay most of the time

It’s a cool interface I like the tracking I like the price book capabilities

the lack of copy and paste functions from one section to another or creating new items/templates from custom items/templates I’ve already made is annoying

The iPhone interface is not good
Zooming out, takes you back a step at the worst possible times

When you are writing a description of an item and then you hit done because you had to zoom in and then scroll up to see add item is frustrating, like why have a done option on screen when obviously ADDING

Also, I should be able to log into my Smart phone and tablet at the same time, one for driving while mounted the other one for customer experience

App not optimized for mobile

The company I work for has struggled to find an effective app that suits both technicians in the field as well as office personnel. While this app does provide a decent medium for technician and office to enter job details, it is plagued by poor mobile development. Just about every day I struggle with losing a well thought out description of work performed as the app loves to just close the current sheet you attempt to fill out. Resizing on mobile is a cancer and often soft locks to the point you must close the app and reopen to fix. Currently they are having an issue with data sync where it gets stuck in an endless loop and never syncs. It is so bad that 4 of our employees regularly have this issue with no resolution. Unless they take steps soon to solve the many issues for mobile I would not recommend for the pure frustration this system offers daily.

Almost perfect

Been knowing about this application for several years now. Began to utilize it as soon as I got into plumbing. Everything works fine but there are some things that would make it better. For example, when I need a purchase order ( P.O ) I can’t save it without having to fill out ALL the blanks. I get it, it’s necessary but in the version I began with I did not need to do that. I like to enter them at the end of a project. Just makes it easier to use. Also it does tend to be slow at times. I would restart my iPad, uninstall and reinstall and the app would still not open. Making the app user friendly would increase the ratings. A saying a like to go buy it KSS ( Keep it Simple Stupid ). Making easy to use for any sort of business would make it the best. I would honestly reach out to all types of companies to see what they think about the app and improve based on feedback. Besides that, I have no other issues. Thank You Service Titan!

Changed Everything… mostly for better.

well, I would much rather use service titan to put together multiple options for my service and repair customers and try to write all of them out by hand. The amount of user interface issues on the mobile side has always been staggering. There are artifacts that have been there for years that I’ve never seen fixedweird glitches that you just have to find a workaround for etc. all in all a good product but they really need to work on the mobile in their face.

Issues

Use to have “remove equipment “ feature in equipment list, making updating the equipment list to be done on site. No the only way is for office personal to be able to do it, which takes more time and more personal to correctly update.
IT NEEDS TO BE PUT BACK!!
Use to be able to select pictures to be up loaded in the order you want them to be in from phone capture feature, but now you have to select, push done, then go back and select the next picture you want to appear in the order you want.
Time consuming!!!!
