  • Great but could be better

Great app for gym goers, allows you to select muscle groups, switch ed cerci’s ed, track past performance and see recovery.
Would be good to be able to log sports in the app. I.e for us Soccer or Rugby players to be able to register training sessions or match days and to see same recovery estimates and adjusted recommended excercises would be awesome.

  • Poor Workout Design

I selected 4 x 45 minute, full-body workouts per week with a strength focus, using normal gym equipment and intermediate level for 52yo male. First workout began with barbel bicep curls. Ok. Then moved in to a narrow-grip barbell bench press supersets with DB shoulder press. The WARMUP set recommended for shoulder press was 5 x 30kg. I’m no weakling, but that’s not a warmup set! The working sets were 10 x 20kg. Next was cable rows supersets with burpees. Biceps were already pre-fatigued so I had to do the cable rows on a lighter weight than I would have liked. Next was barbell bench press. Thing is, my chest and triceps (and shoulders) were pre-fatigued, compromising my performance on bench (not to mention injury risk). That was as far as I got in 45 minutes, and no major leg muscle groups were programmed. I took a sneak peak at the next workout, which was programming bench press, squats, deadlifts, pull-ups and RDLs (plus other exercises) all in the same workout…supposedly in 45 minutes! I deleted the app and would not recommend based on my experience with it

  • Fitbod - home workouts made easy

I’m new to body weight exercises and wanted something that made it simple. Workouts are easily modified to suit capabilities and time available and great tutorial and recording functions. Really enjoying the app.
  • Price is WAAAAY too high

    Huge rip off
  • This app works

I have been weight training on and off for about 10 years, but never went more than once or twice a week. It was enough to maintain some light strength but I was unmotivated and only had a handful of exercises that I repeated.

FitBod changed my body shape within a month, with much more obvious definition on all the smaller muscles that I was forgetting about - which creates a more healthy-looking overall tone. I think the app is so successful because of the way it motivates you to try new things every session, but doesn’t make you feel bad if you just opt for what you prefer. It keeps things interesting, helps you with technique, and takes away all the guesswork.

I thought I was one of those people who just can’t really grow much muscle but I was wrong. I’ve never felt stronger or healthier.

  • Motivating

Since using this app I’ve found a lot more motivation and enjoyment from the change up each day.
The videos showing exercises is a great help to get the exercise form correct.
It would be great if there was a meal plan added to it when you become a member haha my kitchen is baaaaad.
  • Great app… to expensive for basic use

This app seems to have a lot of great functions and integrations, and was really pleased to use it for the first time today. Then I found out there’s no free version, just paid for, and I either need to chuck £70 at it or £11/month. If you’re serious about weights and rely heavily on the app then I understand it, but for someone who wants to set up some basic workouts to supplement other fitness it’s too much. Even a stripped down version for a couple of £ / month or a free stripped out version with ads would be useful. It’s a shame because this is clearly one of the better apps.

Only other thing is from a UX point of view - it’s a little confusing. I think Fitbod could do a better job of grouping the various areas of the app. For example, accessing settings can only be done from the “Log” view - something like that should be persistent. Shame because the actual core functionality is nicely thought out and designed.

  • Pretty great… but

Great app. Been using it for over a year. One thing that would be awesome would be if there was a space where you could post workouts you have made and try other workouts made by the community.
  • Great app, couple things can be fixed

    Noticed couple glitches:
    - in the long list of exercises about every seventh is blinking for some reason
    - when I try to change target muscle groups for the upcoming training after I press Save everything goes back to how it was and exercises stay the same (no possibility to change muscle groups, only to change every exercise manually and then I have to change stretches respectively)
    - once training is started a cannot open other parts of the app - training just stops if I do
    - the most annoying - on the icon for hamstrings muscles aren’t shown equally on the left and right side, please fix this 🥺
    Overall love the app
