  • Best game! totally worth buying

This game is awesome! It looks good, tells a good story and is long. This game has challenging puzzles and is always exiting.
I have just finished the game and I’m totally going to play it many times again.
  • Thank you for sharing!

I recognize that this is a story first that gives a glimpse of a very beautiful culture and people with rich traditions. Thank you for sharing. The game play is side scrolling. I do like the integrated story and documentary aspects of the game best.
  • Amazing but frustrating

I bought this game after playing Playdead’s Inside because I was looking for more amazing side-scroll games. This game is incredible - amazing graphics, good story, and the cultural insights were really cool. However, the controls drove me out-of-my-mind frustrated, especially the controls involving moving and jumping. It lagged a lot, and often out of nowhere I’d be unable to move. This caused me many deaths that I could have otherwise avoided. Fix the controls and I’d give this five stars. It’s also not really worth the price. But, it’s still worth playing.

  • Great Game

While the game may start a little confusing, you eventually get the hang of it. The graphics are incredible and fit the story line well. It is worth the time, and is so touching I started crying in public. 10/10
  • Good game, terrible controls

This would be an outstanding game that you would recommend to everyone IF the controls and motions were not so finicky.

In very quick parts of the game you have to have exact movements. You will literally die a dozen times in a row trying to jump across one ledge because you don’t have it exactly right.

Further frustrating you will be the fact that once you meet part two of your companion, the joystick control will continually stick in one direction. Forcing your companion to go that way until the control unsticks or you point another direction.

I was initially have a great time with this game in the beginning and I really enjoyed it! But as time went on I grew to become very frustrated with the game and I started resenting it and at the end I hated it.

  • Blown away

This game is incredible. You play as an Iñupiat girl and her Arctic Fox companion as they journey to find the source of a blizzard that has precluded her village from hunting caribou, which they need to survive.

Throughout, you score “cultural insights,” 1-2-minute pieces of documentary footage that deepen your cultural understanding of the Iñupiat, their traditions and stories, and their relationship with their environment. You have to find the hidden owls to gain them, so you end up working hard to learn about them. I missed three of them by the time I was done, and I went back and replayed the levels to find them all.

It’s gorgeously done, front to back; it’s challenging; it’s so smart. And I CRIED AT ONE POINT BECAUSE I WAS SO MOVED

My only criticism is that sometimes the controls don’t work as expected, even when I changed the level of joystick sensitivity, so there were moments of frustration when I had to replay some scenes several times because I couldn’t get the fox to clamber up a wall properly.

  • Absolutely incredible. BUY IT!

I just read a review that said it is confusing to play... It literally tells you in big white font what is going on while you play the game. So disregard the idiot review.

The game is TRULY incredible. It’s absolutely captivating from the second your eyes lay on the beautiful graphics. I adore that it is a strong, young heroine that ties in not only a beautiful, true storyline but basically tiny snippets of documentaries. You have the option to watch or not watch. It’s a game you look forward to coming home and relaxing with.

    Beautiful!! Bravo developers!

  • Terrible Controls

I want to like the game. But it seems the developers decided it was challenging enough and so made it such that the controls just don’t work every so often. I have trouble beating levels not so much due to the inability to figure them out but the fact that the controls just don’t work. Such as having a character just stop running. Making the jump button non-functional. Things like that. Simple stuff really. But the developers either failed terribly or are terribly sadistic.

  • I Love the game 👍😄

The game is amazing. It’s got all sorts of emotions and adventures! The graphics are awesome and the story is too! I just wish that the fox live and didn’t Chang’s into a different form.😢 I also have suggestion, you should create another Never Alone but it would be the second one. It would have another adventure but it would be different than going to find the source of the blizzard.
