Not as advertised
Be aware the app will deduct the full price or your stay immediately from your CC then once you check in the hotel will charge you again. The $5 hotel savings cost me $64. Tried following up with the app support its non existent. Definitely do not recommend and will be uninstalling ASAP.
Mileage
Please put the miles between current location and hotel back please. It’s how I judge where to pick my hotel Thank you
Clean, Quick, and Easy to Use!
Hotel Engine really went above and beyond in this update, extremely clean and user friendly!
Best app for pricing and on the go booking
Hotel Engine has been a great software for our workforce travel, to save money and centralize bookings
Recent Reservation
I’m a state employee and was traveling to Austin Thursday night and when I arrived at my hotel, I was charged a “deposit” from Candlewood Suites, something that Hotel Engine Failed to communicate with their customer, after check in I noticed that payment for the room was taken out of my credit card without my actual authorization. I have to return back to Austin in two weeks but I doubt I’ll use hotel engine after that trip.

Laggy App
App is very sluggish and laggy. When I press or touch the screen options specifically the “Select A Guest” and “Bill To “ options the app does not respond until after about 15 seconds or else app will just crash. Very annoying and frustrating trying to use app to book. Will be using browser until app is improved.

Some good, some big negatives
I spend over 100 nights a year in hotels for work. My company just switched to Hotel Engine and my review is a mix of good and bad.
Good- the app is pretty easy to navigate and the selection of rooms is good. They have (sort of) a rewards program that can be used for rooms. Prices are decent but not great
Bad - Hotel Engine uses Priceline as their booking engine. That means decent rates but no hotel rewards at all. That means everyone in my company loses their elite hotel status which gives us all sorts of perks (no upgraded rooms, no upgraded internet, no free meals, the list goes on).
In summary, I’m begging my company to move away from this system after using them for less than a month. Saving $4/night isn’t worth the added expenses several hundred employees will incur

Hotel Engines booking made simple.
I really find the app easy to use, I like the ability to gain points through them, I like that you can see multiple photos of the hotel, and all around I really like the app. This app would be good for a business looking to save money and give their employees great hotel options.
Waste of time
Using this application and service is a waste of time. After putting in my information for a trip the application comes back with a list. Included in this list is whether or not the rate is refundable. I have found that in many instances the first list indicted the rate is refundable but when you select that hotel, all of the rooms offered are non-refundable.

So far so good
So far I am using this app via my work. It has been the cheaper way to go the past times I have used it. It’s definitely a go to for me when traveling for work.
