Add DNS when not able to connect
Had my fair share of issues with this app. Absolutely a disappointing and not even close to the DJI products.
If you are not able to connect via WiFi, try to go into the Settings and when u see the Weebill connected but only the LTE icon is showing, go inside the Weebill WiFi setting onl your phone and add a DNS server manually for example 8.8.8.8

Confusing software!
I just got a Smooth 4 gimbal and I’ve been playing with the app over the past few days. It’s a great device but the app needs work. Tracking barely works, as everyone knows. Most other features seem to work fine (haven’t tried everything yet) and I love using hardware buttons and knobs on the device instead of tapping onscreen. The sharing and editing side of things are very confusing. But I can live with that. What I don’t understand is that sometimes, when I start the app, it’s locked in portrait mode with a totally different interface. Buttons are different. There are more available functions but they are accessed onscreen not via hardware buttons. The way the Bluetooth connects is baffling—it’s fast but impossible to know where to click to connect. It’s so annoying that something so cool and well thought out is crippled by these (and many other) absurd bugs. Custom gimbal settings won’t save to gimbal
The idea of using your phone is nice. But not always convenient. I HATE that if I want to customize the Crane 3 Lab’s pitch, roll and tilt motor speeds I have to edit in the app under scene modes. With the Crane 2 I could connect to my computer to do this. But what I’ve noticed is that if I disconnect my phone I lose all of those settings when restarting the gimbal. This means my motors move too slow - not sure why the default settings are so slow, they weren’t this slow until I connected my phone and updated firmware. It’s so slow that doing 1 vortex rotation takes like 10 seconds when I’d prefer 3.Show lessGutzDaddy
Bluetooth microphone
This app is good. Would be better if it supported a Bluetooth microphone so the audio could be better. I have tried an external mic but Bluetooth is much betterF40nz

Want to take some super smooth 4K video? Well you can’t, because all video that you shoot as 4K exports as 720 and also in a different format

I would give it 5 stars but sometimes after I am done recording using the app it doesn’t save the video that was just done recording so I have to disconnect the gimbal and then reconnect it 4 or 5 times to get the videos to start saving againdat1player
Initial use: needs usability
Just installed it... used for 30 minutes.. had to swipe up to kill the app when it lost communication with the gimbal and locked up...
Editing a custom setting is crazy bad User experience... rather than tap/hold/anything to edit it, with it selected you go into custom again (who would guess?), and when you save, give it the same name (OMG I had to type the name in again!)
Then you find it didn't save the changes..
I finally got it to save after about 3 tries..
Moving the camera doesn't seem to work smoothly (from UI), it can lock if not in the right mode (I guess you set the mode on the device... as the app doesn't talk to the device??? Oh, wait it does! Oh, maybe it needs to be set there because the app was written by someone else and they have no control over the app and device? no, that isn't it... just stupid I guess...
Gave up on using this thing for the night...
Will try out the device on a shoot...
Didn't seem to come with the cable to control the camera, wanted access to EVERYTHING, GPS even... why? Photos? Why? Need to use to control gimbal...
And the gimbal doesn't seem to stabilize the camera enough to turn the zoom by hand without spinning the roll... so, yeah, I want to just lock the roll hard, using the thumb screw... they didn't provide... no way to lock it for a pan/tilt (say if using at s theater to film?)
May not be useful at all to me..

Smooth 4 and xsmax
I haven’t had too many problems other than the tracking and I can’t seem to get the motion timelapse to work properly but I still like the app and I adjust my shots to what I am capable of.Jrew007
Previously: Worthless...UPDATE!
Cannot pair app with a Smooth Q Gimbal and an iPhone SE running iOS 12.1. Have no idea what the gimbal’s firmware version is and the buttons on the gimbal is worthless if it cannot connect with the ZY Play app. No Support provided. Returning Gimbal before the 15 day period passes.
UPDATE: I managed to get the App to work correctly and can now use the joystick controls. Found out that the Tile App and the seven Tile Bluetooth Trackers was affecting the connection. Go to the Tile App and turn the Bluetooth connection off and then you can connect ZY Play to the gimbal. Sorry for the harsh review at first.Show lessRanimal71
Needs work
Terrible app. Spent hours trying to get the camera feed through to the phone and still I can’t. They really need a trouble shooting g guide. The FAQ section of the app doesn’t appear. Probably the first and last time I buy a Zhiyun product. Sorry but it’s unacceptable.duu
