Nutrition app review

I was a little disappointed with the nutrition app as the Freeletics work outs are so good and I really enjoy this. It was annoying that the workouts didn’t sync with the nutrition. In the same app. So therefore on a day you maybe doing exercise your dietary requirements maybe different to when you are not. You could add a work out in the nutrition app and it gives u a post work out snack but I just feel this could be more integrated. I think there are good recipes but it doesn’t cater for someone who is not at home all the time. Also I found it difficult to source some of the ingredients that I ended up going to 2/3different supermarkets to get the food.
I think more shorter recipes would be helpful for taking to work and lunches. Also being able to use some of the same ingredients in a few recipes would be helpful as I think making 3 completely different meals for breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week is just too unrealistic.
Essentially that app has given me a guide and A few different useful recipes. But apart from that I don’t feel it has done anything extra then looking up your own healthy recipes in a cook book.
I feel that it needs a little bit more bespokeness to keep people coming back each month paying for more.

Used to love this app

I used this app years ago when the meal plans were free, there were great recipes but the app is pretty much unusable now. Difficult to select recipes for the grocery list and there seems to be a lot of glitches when generating the list. For example,
- 3 bell peppers
- 2 red bell peppers
- 1 1/2 green bell peppers
There used to be a lot more functionality, I seem to remember being able to choose meal prep friendly options and other things. I came back to Freeletics just for the meal plans, but it’s very expensive and not worth it anymore. Which is a shame because the recipes were great.

Cannot get the app to load

The app is useless. I cannot get it to load even when I have my VPN on. I can get the running and workout apps to open easily and they are great, but this has not worked for me.

Menu selection functionality needs to be improved

The app is good, recipies are good and easy.
But the functionality is not the best. Even after doing your shopping list and selecting your meals for the week it still shows you all of the other options, which makes it hard to keep track on your selected meals for the week.

not enough choice for athletes

The most bad nutrition apps I have.
Same recipes every day and week. If you change the level of effort is still the same to.
the recipes are too simple example : apple and peanut butter - seriously!

Stay away

Unfortunately this app doesn’t s badly organised. I couldn’t understand what to do next and the current meal plans seem very limited
Not enough variety and I can’t see myself using this
It feels like an immature app when it comes to the amount of content/flexibility and the way it was organised

Don’t be fooled by the high reviews

Do the exercises on the Freeletics app but the nutrition isn’t worth it at all, the meals are completely unsatisfying and you pay but there’s no customisation. You have to choose the meal yourself and can add the ingredients to a shopping list which is good but then when you go back to cook it you still have the choice of three meals so you have to remember which one you’ve bought the ingredients for. Meals don’t change each week either so it’s just you paying for a basic meal plan. You’re better off just getting a free meal plan online.

Awesome recipes, lots of bugs

I have been using Nutrition for the past couple of months. It is a life changing app. Love all the recipes. However, it is full of bugs. For instance, it doesn't save the unit for weight and randomly switch units between SI and English, or the shopping list randomly updates itself and marks stuff as purchased. Also, I have the app on multiple devices and they don't sync very well. I hope they resolve these issues in near future.

Good but needs improvement

The recipes are good but it every day has a different set up which means (a lot of shopping) comparing to f45 meal plan for example in which you're advised to make bigger portions and eat the leftovers next day.

Needs more recipes

Generally speaking it’s a decent app, but using it long-term is difficult. The recipes get super repetitive. If you have any dietary restrictions (or heaven forbid don’t like eggs), you’ll be able to last a max of 6-8 weeks before you’re fed up.
