Tread Carefully
This company, if you don’t have a bank nearby can be a nightmare trying to deposit or move large sums of money. I had to get a broken AC unit fixed in my house and getting the money transferred has been a month long nightmare. Their customer service has made me wait an entire month without air conditioning to redeposit my own cashiers check back into my bank account, because the HVAC technician’s bank couldn’t accept it for whatever reason. Not to mentioned it cost $20 to just receive the check, and $10 to mail it back to them. They told me it would be 5 business until the money was in my account. Surprise, surprise. It wasn’t in my account and of course they didn’t follow up. The package with my check in it had to be signed, and it was according to the tracking, however they claim to not have any records of it being received. So, now they have to do an entire investigation pushing this back EVEN further while I sit here without my $8,000 dollars because of their incompetence.
I’m switching banks the second I get my money back.Show lessImproved slightly but still lacks functionality
Capital One Shopping obviously listens to feedback but they have only been able to improve the service incrementally. My shopping trips are only logged correctly I would say 70% of the time. Some retailers work better than others. It’s impossible to know if your shopping rewards will be properly logged. If you reach out and ask for further information you will get back bullet points that basically say they aren’t responsible for anything, anything is possible, and that if it doesn’t work then you should have known beforehand but at the same time there is no way to know if it will work. So basically a bunch of hogwash to not take responsibility for tricking people into thinking they will get cash back. If you don’t understand what I just wrote then that’s pretty much on par with trying to understand how this application works. This is simply not good enough coming from such a large banking institution. They should either improve the service or completely redo it so it becomes transparent and honest.Show lessA little deceptive
I was excited to download the app for the apps premise (I’m and avid shopper) but pushed to do it faster for the $10 bonus you can claim. It has you go through all these steps before you can claim the $10. I downloaded the app, had it as an extension of safari, allowed access, etc. But then it said that I needed to transfer to a desktop and basically do the whole thing on there in order to claim the $10. I gave away my desktop as I only use my phone for shopping. I can’t thing of a time I went on a desktop computer to shop. And of course you don’t find out until the very end that you do not qualify for the measly $10 until you do all the steps. I hate these types of deceptive user experiences. I had to delete app and take away access from everything. I feel like I would have loved to use the app, but these experiences always leave a sour taste.Show less
