Loved this game back in the day. Little harder to play on the IPad. It gets more frustrating than the old controller. Overall, still love the game..Scott huntington
Very good but expect glitches
This a lively reproduction of the console version adapted well for mobile. The sounds, graphics and gameplay are superbly rendered given the lack of game pad or controller.
Having said that, there are times when quick responses are very difficult to achieve when simultaneously trying to watch the character and at the same time keep your finger over the appropriate control button.
The game is also very glitchy - I find I have to reboot the game at least once every session because of a program crash or when a character becomes stuck.
Not the cheapest of apps, but, despite the above problems, enough game time to make it good value for money.Show lessAac114

Elums spoil the game
I was thrilled to see New and Tasty be released for iPad but when I got introduced to the Elums early in the game which Abe rides to supposedly jump over canyons to advance, I gave up after 200+ tries to get the timing absolutely perfect or be set back again and again. They took the fun out of the gameplay even in easy mode and made it an exercise in frustration and futility. Graphics are gorgeous. I wish I could see them all.
New day... I tried again until my thumb tips got too sore and my brain was about to explode. Elums either don't jump at all when button is pushed or the timing windows are so incredibly narrow that the long sequence of pillar jumps without an intermediate save is (close to) impossible. I loved this game until I hit this permanent blockade to progressing. Pfui! Maybe I'll try again for a few hours tomorrow. What fun!Show lessDjdrisk

Great game, controls faffy
The game itself is of fantastic quality, great graphics and gameplay, just excellent. My criticism is regarding the controls (and probably isn’t even due to the app itself but the iPhone in general): it’s difficult to complete tasks with the touch sensitive buttons on screen and for example if you swipe up to jump, you may quit the game as this gesture also takes you out of the app (XS Max)!Show lessLoreLondon

Blast from the Past
I loved this game on the PS1 but was not willing to pay £7.99 for it when first released on iOS. Noticed the game at 99p today so had to buy it whilst at that price in case it went back up a few days later. Great game but does take a considerable amount of space.DaveC2003
Mixed emotions
Needs elements from the original like “the subtle stuff” but quality makes up for this remake. Honestly i never give 5 stars but this game is solid asfnathaniel red

Very impressed with the game all around; funny, slightly gory, many different puzzle styles--with puzzles inside of puzzles, hidden secrets throughout, haven't found a glitch yet---believe me, I could go on....but by now your tired of reading.
I like this Odd World game/so much I went back & bought the other two without reading reviews; I'm sure you will too ! !
