Brilliant
I’m new to the odd world and enjoying every minute, I don’t find the controls too bad although occasionally the touch doesn’t work which is frustrating and nearly launched my iPad a couple of times 😝oops! Other than that I love the characters and atmosphere and background but not always sure how to leave after completing a level as I seem to go round in circles? Still learning I guess.
Edit: I am so disappointed to have to remove a star as having battled my way through this game encountering glitch after glitch, it has now become apparent that I won’t get my ending yet again due to a glitch. When detonating the floor bombs they blow abe up no matter how near/far I stand away from them, unfortunately the ending has 3 of these bombs and it’s timed too so impossible to complete. One little thing...
Love playing this game and enjoy how it’s been remastered for new platforms. I’m having a problem saving some modokon’s on the iPad version of this game. No problem on pc but the iPad screen seems to cut out some of the view which means I can’t greet some of the mudokons and get them to follow me. The very first trap door in zulag 1 is a good example of what I mean.Show lessBoredbutt
Subscription?
I have been charged 3 months in a row for this app i was excited to finally play a game i had when i was younger. But every month my app store quits because this charge keeps happening. Wish it would say you would be charged every month somewhere in the description. Great game but not work over $7 a monthShow lessBlinkrae31

You should contact Apple if you are in fact getting charged more than once for this app. This is NOT a subscription app. It's a one time charge only.Enjoying it... But

As one of the people who played the original game in the 90s, I must say I am truly impressed by how it was transformed for the modern smartphone. While being to form and feeling it takes advantage of all the new capabilities of these devices and is elevated even higher, which is an impossible feat given the cult status that oddworld has achieved already. I am glad that newer generations will get to play and enjoy this great game the same way we did in the nineties!Show lessMe-AV
Best game ever on iOS but new version has done some damage
This update package has ruined the pause menu as it’s out of the screen and contrast settings has been changed as it’s way too high for the iPad Pro 10.5 and there is no settings to adjust contrast settings please fix it as it’s horrible to continue playing the game thanksF.N_93

I have liked all of the odd world games, the “stranger” being my favorite. But on all of them, the controls have been varying degrees of frustrating. On “new and tasty”, at times the controls are downright infuriating.Gooble berry
Frustrating
Very good game and just like the originals for the PlayStation...however...either I’m really bad or the game is because when riding the beast (not sure what it’s called), I’ve been stuck on a level for what must be over 100 attempts at jumping over the gaps and no matter how many times I seem to fall at some stage and it reverts back to the start every time 😡 so frustrating!Show lessOutts

Try holding the jump button down a little before you want to jump. It is a tough section. Might need to quick save/quick load at key points to make it through more quickly.I love all the Oddworld games
I hope Oddworld keeps them coming. iOS started with good games but it's been hard finding console quality for a while now. So many games are short or mindless. This game is so so good, as are Munch's Oddysey and Stranger's Wrath (my fave). I played on an iPhone 5S, using touch screen controls only, and I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
