  • Worked ok at first but now I can’t get anything to work!!

    When I first started using this app a few months ago it was amazing I actually even earned enough points for an Apple gift card which I have no problem getting or using but in the last three or four weeks I can’t take a survey every single survey click says there is an error and it’s letting them know. Almost every single survey I click I get about a third of the way through and get told that I don’t need to qualifications and get kicked out and earn 17 points After spending 20 minutes taking a 25 minute survey. On the random ones that I actually can get to and “qualify for” I get more than halfway through and if freezes or pauses and I have to close out and forfeit all of those points and just wasted that amount of my time. However I don’t seem to have a problem getting points when shopping on the sites using my card but the survey is where I get a 99% of my points from and I can’t get an actual survey to save my life because it constantly tells me that I don’t qualify or an error forces me to have to quit!!!

    Not impressed!!!!!! I really thought the update that they just had would’ve fixed all these problems but it doesn’t seem to have done anything.

  • Not reliable anymore

    I used to love this app and the points would post super quickly. However, lately they either haven’t been posting or they’re going through extremely slow. Many of the games you can get points for don’t actually let you “allow the tracking” and this makes it so you can't actually get any points for playing.

    Recently, I also got points taken away for no legitimate reason. I went to Safeway, spent a bit, received points for it, then got them taken away. I did not return anything and I don’t understand why they were taken away.

    Things are just really slow within the app lately and not as reliable. If I’m not getting points for my purchases like I should be, then there’s really no point to continue using this app. I’m very disappointed and frustrated right now because I’ve had to email their customer service just to receive points for “offers” I completed, even after waiting past the time the points were supposed to arrive.

  • Confused

    Saddened to find that it seems like I have to unlocked the premium to use this app. It asks me to do that and blocks the offers from being seen. I found out that I can still scroll and read the offers, but cannot participate in them. It asks me, if when I click to unlock the premium, to choose my bank. I now back at my local bank. It is not a bank that is everywhere like Fifth Third and other well known and bigger banks are. Mine is Fairfield Federal Bank to let this app makers know which bank I am looking for. It is in Lancaster, Ohio if that helps. Otherwise, I don’t understand why the app won’t let me shop. It has links that says to hit to shop online. Trying to click them didn’t do anything at all. Is this a glitch tonight? Possibly just the Internet acting up? Problems with the app and it is just being goofy tonight? Is it because I do not have Premium? I am not sure. I really hope you can help me out. I don’t remember how I found this app a long time ago, but forgot and tonight watching a family’s video a man mentioned it.   • Great app but many issues.

    I love this app, been using it for like idk 8 years.. however its not perfect. Lately i haven’t been getting rewards for drop spin offers for my purchases. I also haven’t gotten points for games i have downloaded and completed. I wrote in and sometimes they help but lately they haven’t been. Part of the issue is whenever we submit a help ticket; we can only mark “missing points” and we’re not allowed to tell them that we’re missing points for a drop spin offer (which are bonus points). So I think I’m being ignored because they think that I think I didn’t get points for a purchase or something. Anyways that’s why i won’t give 5 stars. Bc their customer service has declined a lot. I’ll laugh too if they reply to this review before my help tickets. At this point I’m not even creating tickets for missing points. I’ll just eventually stop using the app.

  • Good UI, Decent Customer Service, Nice Offers

    Overall, Drop is probably one of the best apps of its kind, but that isn’t saying a lot. I’ve used many other competitors and they are all about the same, but the main difference is that Drop has a much cleaner interface and ease of use. Most apps like these make it extremely difficult to find a way to contact customer service and Drop is no exception. However, once you are able to get in touch with support, they usually are able to help you fairly well, but I personally have had to contact support often, seeing as the two week point allotment period always passes and I am not rewarded my points, so that can get a bit frustrating; although once I show proof of completion, the points are usually awarded to me. Still, it is a pretty good app and fun to use on your downtime to earn money by playing games or finding offers that interest you that can offer you cash back or rewards for signing up.

  • There’s flaws

    I’ve had drop for about 2 years now. So far I’ve redeemed 5 gift cards, so it works. However there’s a few things that I don’t like now.
    1. If you make a purchase and use Afterpay, which I like to use for spendier items, they’ll only give you points for that first payment. You’ll still end up paying for the full price, but you don’t get points for it. Stupid.
    2. Customer service has gone down. Now you get an automated bot, and eventually you can submit a help request to a real person. But the response time is very slow and they don’t always respond.
    3. Having to go into the app to search for the store you want to buy from doesn’t bother me THAT much but it is annoying. They did away with the power offers which gave you points passively, and that was a major draw for me using Drop to begin with.
    Overall, not the best. It’s greatly declined in usefulness as I’m not even getting the full points that I should be getting. Improve this please, and at least respond to my customer service emails.

  • Not Great...

    Have had this app for some time and when I first got it I gathered enough points fairly quickly because of the places that I shop at. Recently it just stopped gathering points. I disconnected and reconnected cards, reached out to support about missed points (no response by the way), but I’m about to go on 2 months and my points have not changed regardless of numerous eligible purchases. Still have heard nothing from support. Now their FAQ section says you need to wait 100 days after a purchase?! What is that - horrible. I get waiting 7-10 business days or even 30 days, but 100...nope

    UPDATE: they updated the daily hoops game to pretty much make sure you don’t get any points. I used to play it frequently and could get quite a bit of points. However, I have tried several times and can only get, at most 1 point. I had a few different friends try and they pretty much decided it was rigged. This whole app is a waste of time. Only ever got 1 gift card and likely will never get another one again. App is dumb - just like their customer support.

    10/13 UPDATE: they asked me to update my review and update the app cause they made some updates. I have deleted the app after 2 different updates. The app is a SCAM. Don’t download and don’t use.

  • Updated review - Total scam now

    Unfortunately, the drop app is now full of offers that can’t get credit (points) for. It used to be so easy! Just shop through the app or use your linked card, and points would be credited in about 2 weeks. That’s not the case anymore. I haven’t had to submit several tickets regarding missing points. It takes several days to receive a response. The responses have been a mixed bag of excuses for why I didn’t qualify for points, despite following the offer terms.
    Now it’s worse. I tried to complete 2 game offers recently, hoping they’d ironed things out. Upfront I took a screenshot of the offer terns, just to make sure I followed them to the T! So, the 14 days window passed with no points. I went into the app to submit a ticket. Now you can’t even submit tickets! You land on a screen saying they’ll be in touch but the screen also flashes a “trying again” error. Also, no longer receiving auto confirmation emails that a ticket was submitted.
    I’m bummed that this app turned into trash & scam. Especially since I shared my banking data which them!

  • Used to be great, now no one even responds to issues

    I have used this app since it was brand new and have recommended it for a couple years now to lots of people. Since they changed their model of points earning it is a LOT harder to really earn unless you buy things using their click-through earning, similar to eBates. The main problem with that being that then THEY NEVER REWARD YOU FOR THE OFFER YOU CLICKED ON. I had this issue once last fall, it took many weeks for customer service to actually award for me for the offer, and I decided not to use those offers anymore. But in an effort to reach a point goal so I could spend my remaining points with drop and then leave/delete this app, I decided to take advantage once more of one of their offers. I read the offer details perfectly, and followed them to a T, and yet - still no points. I have sent not one, not two, but THREE requests for support in to their customer service, and NO ONE WILL ANSWER. In short: don’t waste your time. There are better points for rewards/cash apps out there that *actually* work when you use them, and reward you, not just leave you hanging on offers until they think you’ve forgotten you spent the money. The very least they could do is show pending points from money spent right away - which they are VERY hit or miss on, especially with click-through offers.

  • Disappointing Changes

    I’ve been a big fan of this app since I started using it a couple years ago, up until recently. It used to be extremely easy to earn and accumulate points based on stores I frequently shopped at, with gift card rewards at either the same stores, or different ones I loved just as much. The “flash deals” are extremely disappointing and I don’t see myself ever earning enough points to redeem. Gift cards to stores, like Target, have not been offered for awhile and it seems other brands are dropping out as well. Although a small inconvenience, I don’t see myself checking regularly to see what flash deals are available to me. It was SO much easier to have my stores selected and know that each time I shopped there, my points were automatically added. Not to mention, the app keeps glitching, and the flash deals I have signed up for and shopped at have not been added to my account since the change over, as far as I know. I will be deleting this app.
