Room for improvement but still 5 stars
I love this app because I can talk to all my friends. But I do wish it had a screen sharing function. Having a screen sharing function would make it a lot better because for Example, when I am playing a game sometimes I want to show my friends what Iโm doing, or add audio coming from my iPad so I donโt have to play music on a different device to show them. Or like on my phone, when I leave the app it goes into the bottom corner and I can still see, but it doesnโt do that on my tablet, if that was there I think many people would appreciate it.Show lesssteveman1243
Worth it!
So far the quality of solo calls using this app has been excellent! The voice clarity and video is of a high standard (there are odd lags but that could also be down to the quality of internet connection).
I didnโt experience a huge drain on battery life while on calls using this find Google Duo.dgurrungdiaz
Good app but compatibility problems
I had to do a thorough google to check it wasnโt just me, but this app isnโt always compatible with iPhones. When using the back camera it often is blurry and makes a buzzing sound. This has happened on two different iPhones that I have had, one had water damage so I was worried it was that, but the phone was not broken.
Otherwise it is a good app, but this glitch needs to be fixed to avoid people thinking they have broken phones.Show lessTotallyme2010
Life line to my Dad
Iโm on the other side of the world & my father has been in hospital with Covid19 for nearly 2 months. Google duo has been his only lifeline to his family since he woke from the coma nearly 3 weeks ago! Great picture, great sound, he can voice activate it and itโs as close as I can be to him right now! 5 stars Thank You!!!!Show lesschehun1

Me and my friend cannot video call on normal calling on our phones the I tried this and I could actually see her. Now whenever I want I can FaceTime her and see her and we can smile and laugh and cry and be mad with each other it is amazing and I just wanted to thatโll the person and people who help create this app and I appreciate them and you soooooooo much thank you by by!!!Show less๐๐๐char
Love it.....but a new fault
Really happy with the quality and cross platform BUT this week our usually talk with friends had their video link frozen at the spot we answer their call. Our video link was fine with them but we could only see a frozen still of our friends. We are on iPad and they are on PC using chrome. Only thing that has changed is that the Apple version was updated 3 days ago. Hope itโs a minor problem.Show lessStringbags
I love this app however.....
I bought this app to contact my kids while they are walking home from school because, stupidly, I bought them Samsung phones so I canโt FaceTime. I really love this app but sometimes when Iโm calling my kids, the video is 5-10 seconds ahead of the audio!! Iโm not sure if itโs the connection however my friend has told me the same thing. Also, please can you change it so the filters work on iPads as well ? X Please fix these and this app will be absolutely perfect!!

Needs to be better
We used Duo for the first time today for a family get together video chat.
Other apps we tried failed to connect some participants, or the invite process was clunky. Duo was very simple and error free by comparison.
The video quality was much better than other apps we tried, which is a huge plus for us.
However we were disappointed that the participant windows 5-8 are smaller, it would be helpful if they were more consistent size.
Flipping windows around the screen to highlight whoever is talking is disconcerting.
It would be more useful if the โwindowโ showing โmyโ camera view is always a small window in a corner.
this app has huge potential but these things need to be fixed as other apps provide a better viewer experience. We will use Duo again, but I expect we might be looking for a better app.Show lessLuv iPad
Great app to have
When am playing games in my new phone I can just get my old iPhone out and call my friend! U donโt even need a sim and u can use it on phone table laptop pc and any other device u think of even the wii i can have it! Sadly not switch or a pa4 or a Xbox! Just three things
I this is amazing thereโs just like two things. First can you make it so you could see when your video messages are read because I want to know if my friends read it or I have to call them and tell them, Second and you make it so that if you want to remove someone from your group chat that you made you could because I by mistake put some people in the group chat that I donโt want. And the last thing can you please make the app so that you donโt have to use it with internet because sometimes I want to talk to my friends and I have no internet so I have to wait till I get home to call them and see there video messages so can you please please fix it!Show lessGame_loverโฌ3
