There’s good and there’s a whole heap of scope for improvement
While it works well for work video calls and screen sharing, there are a few things it leaves to be desired.
First and foremost, it doesn’t have background effects available in iPad. The support page says that effects are support on iOS 12+ on iPad 5+. However, that’s not truly the case. I have iPad Air running iOS 15+ and effects is not working.
Having option to start with camera and microphone disabled by default would be a huge plus. Currently we have to remember to turn it off every time.
Having option of showing smaller tiles for the people having the webcam turned off and the current/regular sized tiles for the people having it on, would be a great addition. Bring up the tiles with video/webcam on and push down the ones who don’t.Show less_Gaurav_

I don’t like how google duo was upgraded to meet its just confusing i want google duo back. Duo was so much better and I could easily communicate with my friend but now I never use it. Its also just ruining the original meet which I love better!imsosad12

I love this app so much I use it to talk to my friend all the time! But there is a little problem. My audio stopped working so I left the call and then joined back and it still did it. So I thought you know deleting the app would be a good idea because I’ve done it many times before and it fixed all the problems! But when I went to go download it again it wouldn't let me! It said it’s not compatible with my device! I got really sad because most of my friends have androids so they FaceTime with me and I haven’t been able to call them for three days! All I ask is if you could update it to make it comparable with the IOS 15 update. My friend recently got the IOS 16 update and it is still comparable with her phone. But I updated my phone to the 15.7 update and I haven’t been able to get duo/meet since!Show lessplsssssss update it
I love it
I love this app because it is so much fun and I can talk to my friends that I’m not able to FaceTime with and it’s kind of stupid how different phones do not allow you to have the authority to call FaceTime your friends that have different type of phone Apple phones more like iPhones allow you to FaceTime your friends but Samsung galaxy phones do not allow you to FaceTime your friends that’s why my review is so much better with this app so I will tell everybody to get this app it’s the best one ever please get it if you don’t you’re gonna make my poor cat die and if you do get it then you’re going to help her live a long and happy life goodbye friends I took this all in one minute byeeeeeeeeeeeeShow less🍑😋🏈
I despise this app! Duo was great, and this one does not work!
I have been trying without success for almost two months now to get this app to work! And it won’t! I continually delete the app, reload it and try again, with no success. I try to establish calling and it says unable too. I have followed multiple recommendations I have found on line and none have helped. I am extremely frustrated as Google Duo is how I FaceTime my children while on the road. I now have to use google meet and it’s crushing me not being able to see their cute little faces. Unfortunately, this is the app their mother uses and as a divorced family, I am at the mercy of her and what she uses. The kids on her end can’t get it to work either, they too are extremely frustrated and saddened. I do not know what to do at this point.
Duo was perfect and I never had problems with it, no matter where I was in the country. Please fix this app.

If your friends or your family members have a different friend than you and you don’t wanna download the WhatsApp app or you don’t wanna download what they have Google duo you can share your screen you could draw with them and you can turn on captions if you’re hard of hearing and you can even call your friends you can put on filters you can’t and have a phone number or do you have an email or you can have anything you don’t just need a phone number so get it it is amazing I love it my best friend has a different phone than me and we can’t text I can send filters videos Photos so get it if you canShow lessyessssss101
Chat/Meet
I am new to Chat as well as Meet. However I’ve use Voice in the past. Somehow they seem to work together but I’m not sure. When I was first requested to download the Chat app my friends were calling me on video chat but on my iPhone I could not find the icon to chat it took me over a week to figure out that I need it to use Meet in conjunction with Chat and somehow they just worked together. Perhaps if they could be a very clear statement that chat does not allow for video calls on some devices it would save a lot of time and maybe even frustration. Someway somehow chat in Meet is working now but I don’t understand why or how.Show lessCmon Mann
Would recommend
I would recommend this because I can communicate with my friends with out stops and starts and has no bugs.
It saves your contacts and usually is complicated to add another it’s just a quick search and BOOM you can call the person you are looking for.

I downloaded Google duos yesterday, it has changed by FaceTimeing life forever! My second cousin Khloe has a Samsung, and I have an iPhone! We couldn’t FaceTime, until she told me about Google duoS! I downloaded it not thinking of such high-quality, not thinking of so many features, not even thinking about seeing the other persons point of view! I just can’t believe I wasn’t told about this amazing FaceTime in up earlier! This is the most amazing, phenomenal, interesting, and useful app for Samsung and iPhone users that aren’t at war!
