### 4/5 — Great tool for reading Japanese

*2026-08-18*

This has been a very useful extension for understanding and reading Japanese text in safari. It’s almost perfect; the one issue I keep having is that whenever you go to another page or reload the page, the puck disappears and you have to go and press the extension again in safari for the puck to reappear. If somehow the puck could remain constant until the extension is disabled, this would be a perfect extension.

### 4/5 — Great tool, but one major pain point

*2026-03-29, version 1.26.1*

The tool works really well for looking up words online. The one thing that really keeps it from being amazing is that for every new tab or refresh you have to constantly re-enable it.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-01-08, version 1.26.1*

Works very well

### 5/5 — Great extension overall

*2026-01-07, version 1.26.1*

This extension is so good I have it on all of my devices.
That being said when I use it with the Safari browser on my Ipad I have to reactivate it everytime I want to use it by taping the small puzzle piece in the search bar, even when opening a new tab. This despite being always activated in the "manage extensions" browser settings.

### 3/5 — Used to work

*2025-12-14, version 1.26.0*

The latest update has made the puck(circle) permanently on “left handed” mode without it adjusting itself to be usable based on screen location nor is it be able to switch modes(double tap).

Not only that, it’s been unable to update the dictionaries, completely removing my ability to use the tabs since mid-June.

If these two issues can be resolved, it’s an easy five star tool which simplifies the process of finding the meaning of each character.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2025-12-11*

Best tool for Japanese lookups on mobile. I’m able to read a LOT more and practice on the go thanks to this.

### 5/5 — Fantastic add-on

*2025-08-21, version 1.25.1*

Vastly superior to Yomitan – the interface is attractively designed and the information clearly organised so you can see at a glance what you are looking for. The only possible improvement would be Anki integration, which I gather the developer is working on; for now, you can copy the definitions as a tab-separated entry to paste into a text file, which works well. 頑張って！

### 2/5 — Unbrauchbar wegen “privacy feature”

*2025-08-17, version 1.25.1*

### 5/5 — Love this!

*2025-02-16*

This is a fantastic resource for reading Japanese. I love the extra option to show WK level. Thank you for your work on this extension!
