Decent App, Few Problems

A very convenient way to track your growing collection, be it video games, consoles, peripherals or toys to life. Only downsides are that not everything has a price (e.g. some items have no value), that you can’t scan items from select regions and that some consoles are missing (games are easy if they are missing to add but consoles I have no idea). Overall it is a decent app for tracking collections, I will continue to use it from now on.

Data’s just not there. But I’m working on it!

amazing collection manager with one thing I wish it had...

This has been the easiest, most actually fun way to manage my video game and amiibo collections.

The only thing I would like to see is pricing for non-ntsc games. I can add all of my Japanese games with no problem, but it doesn't give me any pricing information on them.

Otherwise, this thing is perfect.

Better than the competitors

Tried a few similar apps and this one is definitely the best. Given its a USA dev the UK barcode recognition is about 60% which is pretty ok.

Best game management app

I absolutely love this app, it has made my library management so easy. As a collector i have a rather extensive library of games and with this app I have been able the retain a list to prevent buying duplicates.

I also like the ability to rate your products as this has helped me path the way working towards a mint collection.

Great Game Collection App 👍

This is a fantastic app, the UK version does have a couple of problems with pricing and barcode scanning but considering the app is completely free I think it’s definitely a fantastic way to keep track of my collection and with the wishlist feature it’s also easy to keep track of what I’m missing and need to keep an eye out for, 10/10, amazing job

Thank you! I hope to make it an ever better experience for PAL and NTSCj collectors once www.gameye.app releases!

Decent

This is a fairly decent tracking app. My biggest issues with it are:

The fact I can’t directly add titles from the game list to the wish list. Having to use the pop up list means I can’t see anything but the title and if I switch to a browser the app loses everything I tagged and I have to start over.

Also the formatting of the list could use some options. Too much wasted space left and right of the titles cutting them off. Options to hide columns in the list would be nice.

Hands Down the Best Option for Game Collectors

The BEST option for anybody looking to track their collection or their collections ~value. The app is loaded with features, is organized extremely well, works incredibly well, and offers me to create a backup or ‘restore point’ of my current data anytime I want (which I store in iCloud). I have a few small complaints, but for everything you get with this app being 100% free, I couldn’t possibly NOT give the app a 5-Star rating. I love it, love it, LOVE IT! Thank you to the developer for making such a generous contribution to the gaming community. You have exponentially increased my quality of life with this single app! :)

So far, so good

I have only just started with this app, and up to now I found easy to use and fairly simple to get around.

Great app

I think this is a great app to catalog and track your video game collection. There are a lot of options and filters for viewing. It provides a lot of direct and indirect information for detailed assessment, but is also a fantastic quick reference for pricing on the go.

I have three complaints with this app.

First, it downloads the entire encyclopedia of information about every game ever entered to the online database it uses. This should be an optional feature. I am a relatively small collector, and I simply don’t care about the information on tens of thousands of games for PC and consoles I’ve never heard of. For me it’s not just a waste, it’s kind of annoying to even have. I should be able to turn off this download, or at least delete out the parts I don’t want.

Second, the database and therefore the app includes hacks of games. While I’m sure some people like that, I only care about authentic games made by major studios. However, there’s no way to filter out hacked titles. When I do a search for Pokemon I only want to see Nintendo-approves games, but instead it pulls up those plus dozens of hacked versions that people programmed in their basements. It would be great to filter out those results.

Third, I’m unclear on when information and prices update, as the app sometimes has outdated prices. It would be cool if there were a refresh button to get updated prices.

Aside from that I really like the app, it’s for sure the best available for my own needs.

Hey Varanus, there will be significant filtering and data enhancements once the new database launches at www.gameye.app! For the encyclopedia, you can’t delete chunks of it but if you don’t really care about that you can set the tab order in the settings to move out of the way.

Please see feedback

I live in the UK. Is there a way to show my games are PAL and not NTSC through the app please. This feature would be amazing.

Response from developer

Not yet because the source db at thegamesdb.net doesn’t have that info. But once everything is setup at www.gameye.app there absolutely will be!
