They can definitely do better
Thought it was an ok app until I got a different account with another bank and they are TEN times better. My biggest two frustrations with this app is the fact that you cannot view credit card transactions in it- you must login to the website to see it.
The second is this: it takes forever (at least two weeks) for any kind of payment towards my debt to be reflected on my account. Maybe not a problem for everyone, but since it’s all done electronically you’d think it wouldn’t take so long.
Also finding my account number is near impossible on this app.
With my new bank, I can view everything easily (transactions, balances, rewards, even credit score) and the best part is when I make a payment towards my account, it is reflected almost immediately.
Please update your app First Interstate!

Notifications are always wrong.
The account balance my notifications show are almost always inconsistent with what the actual balance shown is. What’s the point of having notifications if I have to constantly check the app for my correct balance?
Also, am I supposed to go by the Available or Current amount as my actual balance? Pending transactions take so long to go through, I sometimes won’t risk spending money just so I don’t risk my account bouncing - AGAIN! First Interstate Bank should be paying US for all the errors and fees caused by this app!

First interstate bank
I really like the app. It works great and I can keep up with my spending easily with the use of it. The employees in the Lead, Sd branch are second to none and are very helpful with any questions I may have!! I do all my business with them as they are very efficient and I enjoy stopping into the bank!!

Worst bank ever
Can’t lock your cards without using a worthless secondary app, fees on top of fees to keep accounts open and paper statements, I can’t use my issued atm card for some reason (when I went in to ask it to get fixed nothing got done about it), this bank doesn’t work with PayPal, and the support phone number told me that nothing could be done when I got my wallet stolen and I would have to go in person to get my account locked.

Good app - check deposit is buggy.
I use this app frequently, but there is a known bug that they haven’t addressed for months in which the online check deposit doesn’t work with iPhone cameras unless you rotate it the phone in a counter intuitive manner and the camera lens has a difficult time centering the image. It’s not a problem with the phone, it’s an issue with how the app interacts with the camera’s firmware which makes the process unnecessarily frustrating.

Does what it’s supposed to
Let’s me do everything I need to do without having to drag myself to the bank. Only issue I have noticed, and current reason for 4 stars, is the check deposit auto capture; snaps pictures even when I’m still trying to frame the check. There’s also an autofocus issue where I need to pull back quite a ways to get a clear image, but I have read that it may be something specific with the iPhone 14 Pro. Still hope there’s a possible fix from one side or the other.

FEES ON TOP OF FEES ON TOP OF FEES!!!
This bank has the worst practices I’ve ever had to deal with! From the moment they bought out my previous bank it’s been nothing but fees and headaches! They canceled my old debit card without notice and started charging fees for literally every possible feature they offer! Had to close my savings account because their fees were costing - STEALING - $5/mo to keep it open! This is the THIRD time my checking account has gone negative because of their own fees! What’s the point of having a back if my money isn’t safe in my own account?! If my job didn’t require automatic deposits I wouldn’t even waste time with dealing with banks anymore. This bank is the epitome of American greed!

Mobile Deposit not working as of iOS 16.0.2 on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro
I’ll be happy to update this review as soon as this issue is resolved, but the app currently asks to rotate the phone when doing a mobile deposit, and then has no way of getting out of that screen even if you rotate your phone. I tried it on multiple devices, with the same results.

This app does not work
This app has never worked, I try to login to the app, gives me “unauthorized login attempt”. I open safari, enter the exact same credentials onto the website and it lets me login

Suggestion
Would be nice if you could have a note or memo that could be attached for anything that is transferred from account to account. I am constantly making transfers from my business account to my personal checking account but reflecting back through all my transactions it can get confusing which transaction was a reimbursement and which transaction was a payout.
