I have been a long-time user of the Monument Hub (the first one) and have faithfully carried round my hub and to small HDs with backup and backup copies on them. It was with delight that I discovered the Monument Cloud service, allowing me to backup my photos and videos without having to carry round the hardware! The service quickly uploaded all my photos and videos, except 1% remaining of them. However, the attentive staff promptly worked with me and helped me overcome the issue and now the service rapidly uploads all new photos and videos to the service. I cannot recommend this service and their staff enough! A+++

Very pleased so far!
After more than a year of watching and waiting I finally ordered a monument 2 and received it yesterday. So far the app and device have performed very well and I’m really pleased! I did run into one issue with several files failing to upload and the app retrying endlessly. I fixed the problem by connecting my phone to the computer and discovered the problematic files were corrupted. Deleting them manually seems to have fixed the issues.

App keeps crashing
Unable to use the App on the iPhone as it crashes on startup.
Zero customer service or care
Don’t trust these people with your photos. I have used monument for 3-4 years just fine but recently huge chunks of photos are missing from the app (luckily still exist on the monument device albeit sorted in monuments ridiculous order by camera the photo was taken on?!?!). No rhyme or reason behind the missing photos and no reply after 4 months of trying to contact customer support.

Just doesn’t work…
Tried to configure several times, opened tickets… worthless… It says It cannot connect because my router is blocking it… Even if I put on a hub almost point-to-point it doesn’t recognize it. Worthless
Doesn’t work 8/10 times
Sometimes it doesn’t recognise sd cards and other times you can’t connect to it if you’re on a different network. I am regretful that I backed this project on kickstarter. Please be advised, there are much better alternatives out there than this piece of junk

I love the idea behind the monument cloud service. The apps and the service are solid but a little buggy. However, totally usable. Keep up the good work!
Won’t open
Have updated Monument but it crashes on opening! Not happy!
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!
BUYER BEWARE! This product as well as the app are absolute GARBAGE! Don’t waste your money! I have been a Monument customer from the beginning of their first Indigogo campaign. Was very excited about the product. Quickly became very disappointed! The product never worked properly. Didn’t upload photos properly. NEVER uploaded videos. Was very spotty on the toured service. Wrote the company at least 40 times. Got the constant runaround. No fixes, even in the updates released by the company. Then they stated they were coming out with Ver2 of the product and it would “fix all issues”.
After a LOOOOONG delay of release due to “COVID related production issues” (that lasted all the way to this moment I am writing this review) they sent the product. Was very complex process to convert over the information from Ver1 to Ver2. Not much customer service assistance or instructions from the company. They were very hard to get ahold of. (Unless you state something negative about the company, then you will get a quick response) Once they finally released steps to update, after 6 months, the product doesn’t even work. Same issues as last product.
ISSUES ENCOUNTERED:
1. I have 15 MAC devices. 7 of them won’t even run the updated program. The program tries to open and immediately crashes. The companies solution, redownload and try again. After 20+ times of doing that I have given up on those devices ever running the app.
2. On the devices that do run the app, 4 of them constantly disconnect from the product. They are all right next to it. On same Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth’s running. All are iPhone 12Pro max or higher. All updated iOS and program. So due to the CONSTANT disconnecting from the product, won’t upload.
3. The other products that actually can connect, they cannot do it at the same time as stated in the product info as sold on website.
4. The products that can connect, cannot upload ANY videos from the iPhones of iPads. Constant errors when attempting vid upload. Monuments response… it is an iCloud issue. But… iCloud isn’t having a problem downloading any photos. Nor is it having a problem downloading any vids to my desktop when I download them… so, it isn’t an iCloud issue. It is a Monument issue.
5. There has been almost 2 1/2 hrs of going back and forth with the company by email. (No phone support of course) and still NO SOLUTIONS that actually FIX the problem.
So, again, my suggestion, don’t waste your money. Product doesn’t work and the customer service is horrible and non-existent. Just a bunch of blame game and excuses. No solutions.
