  • Unfinished, unstable, unimpressed

I took a gamble hoping some of the problems mentioned in older reviews had been ironed out - they haven't.

It crashes repeatedly (tested on iPhone 5 and 6)

Do not expect it to automatically pick up ball flight - have tried various times of day and locations and nothing.

The tracer is too slow for faster ball flight. After you've spent 5 minutes setting start, finish, peak height, shot shape etc and then exported the video to your camera roll the tracer cannot keep up with the ball.

The idea is novel, and if I had paid less for it I would have rated it higher. However at this price point I feel like I've lost a sleeve of Pro V's before the first green.

Stepping through frames picking out the ball (where you can) needs to be added, as well as a faster tracer for longer clubs.

Hopefully the developers have some enthusiastic people working on updates on the core product rather than pointless in-app purchases.

Wait for it to drop in price, or for the reviews to improve - right now it's like playing on temporary greens with Top-Flites and rented clubs.

  • Needs a mass overhaul

I would expect a free app to not really work but to pay for it is pretty poor. You end up doing most of the work yourself as it never tracks the ball accurately and once you have spent 10 mins essentially tracing the path yourself using the glitchy manual modes the speed it tracks the ball in the final rendered video is so slow the video looks amateur as hell. It might aswell just give you the freedom to trace the ball frame by frame and select the speed of trace you want. If I had a time machine... I wouldn't have bothered buying this app.

  • Just for fun

This wont actually help improve your golf game. You have to tell the program where the ball lands and for the most part it does a good job tracking it to that point. Slow mo isn't good though. Although its a newer update it should've came later but with better accuracy. Although this wont improve your golf game its a great way to look like a pga golfer with the infamous colored line following your ball. I like it

  • Pretty Good

I've yet to play with it properly but it is really good. If it doesn't follow the ball it is a quick 20 second edit job to get the result. We are loving it.
  • Very cool when working!!

It's very good when working!! I thinks it's a case of staying patient as there have been 4 or 5 updates in less than a week, they are trying to resolve the crashing etc, the ones I have got to work are very good!! There is a bit of fiddling about, as stated though I would definitely purchase a tripod as the video needs to be perfectly still to get desired results!

  • Finally

I have been waiting forever for an app like this to come out utilizing the HD camera and this app is perfect. 5$ is nothing to give yourself Trakman-like ball paths that take less than a minute to produce. Uploading your own videos gives a false timing of the ball flight but every time it's done manually it's perfect. 5 stars all day #RIPHarambe

  • Doesn't even meet minimum expectation

For a £5 app, I wasn't expecting it to be some highly tuned software that exactly tracks your ball. In fact, I strangely enjoyed fine tuning the tracer to try and make it track my ball as accurately as possible. However, the bare minimum you expect for £5 is an app that actually gets the basic timing and physics right. It does neither of those things. As of writing, I have attempted to 'trace' and save around 5 videos to my camera roll. In every single one of these, the audio is out of sync, it trims the length of the original video after I told it not to, the video itself is sped up and worst of all, the line doesn't even show up until I'm walking half way back to my phone to stop recording. Absolutely awful. I have tried long videos, short videos, fiddling with all the options when it comes to saving the video, and the result is always exactly the same. The only thing it gets right, is that I can actually choose what colour line I have drawn across my face at the end of each video 10 seconds after my ball has been hit 200 odd yards in the other direction. A useful feature! So in short, this app leaves most of the editing to you, and the bits it 'edits' itself it gets wrong on almost every front.

  • Don't give up on it

You have to learn how to use the app first. Don't just give up the first video when it doesn't do it exactly right. Also it only can trace what it sees, and since it's on an iPhone obviously it isn't the best camera ever. So it sometimes loses track at the peak you can make a few adjustments in full screen mode. That's why I gave it four stars. Otherwise it's a good app. It makes for some good instagram posts!!

  • Great app

Not sure on why people are complaining it doesn't work. I've had the app for a few weeks now with no problems. Automatically picks up when and where you hit the shot then you just have to select where it landed and the app does the rest.
  • It's 100% fake

Save your $. You literally tell the app when (what frame) and where the ball starts and lands, and it digitally assumes a trajectory based on math. It does not, I repeat, does NOT, trace the ball. All shots trace straight on the ascend, has no idea how high or low the ball actually goes, then just makes a path to where you told the app the ball landed. It's compete math, not actual ball tracing. Very misleading. I'd love to post a picture of his ridiculous trajectory it thought my ball just went. Like all of a sudden a 200 mph cross wind gust hit my ball at its apex. Give me a break.
