Absolutely terrible and not worth a subscription
No sound for most of game let alone commentators, poor quality and that’s not just the app.

Not sure what’s going on with the controls...need a skip back and skip forward the slide bar isn’t working well, very little control on length of time that is moved.

This product is terrible. I could talk about the one-camera shoots that never zoom, or zoom too much. The poor quality of the feed when the announcer is doing his own camera work, the burdensome and clunky interface for finding games or the number of games that just don’t have an announcer. But all of that is tolerable because you want to see your kids play hockey.
But the number of games that just aren’t shown is a disgrace. Paying $30 a month, you expect to get something. But with Hockey TV, there are an inordinate number of games with “technical difficulties at the rink” for which Hockey TV takes no responsibility.
You read that correctly. Hockey TV sells you a product, but disclaims any responsibility for providing the product... so if your kid plays eight games this month, and there are “technical problems” at six, Hockey TV keeps your $30, and you get the shaft.
This app should be de-platformed by Apple, because that’s how bad it is. By giving them access to the App Store, Apple is participating in this blatant rip off.

Terrible App
The app is a flop. It’s so basic that all you can do it watch in real time. Want to rewind and see that nice goal again? Well you can’t do that. If you try to drag the bar back a touch, it goes right back to the beginning and then, you have no way of getting back to the live action! You have to shut down the app and log in again to get back to the live action. A huge swing and a miss!

Very poor
This app really stinks. Just recently got this app and every single game that I have tried to watch there’s an issue with the video or the audio or both. Obviously the people responsible do not have their act together don’t bother with this app it’s a waste of time 😡😡😡.

Why the heck do I have to pay to watch my team play. It’s free to download but I have to pay $30 a month to watch.

My son plays Junior hockey and we can’t make all of the away games because they are too far. We depend on Hockey TV to watch these games and it often fails us. Today, they claim there was an internet issues at the rink, although Live Barn wasn’t having an issue. When you contact their support, you get the same answers every time. They don’t guarantee games will be able to be viewed. Sad that they basically steal people’s money. You pay for a service that you can only get sometimes. They should be ashamed of themselves!

Awful
Believe the negativity. These people are absolutely raking in cash and know their service is sub par. This review is not about the app alone, it’s about HockeyTV in general. Jesus Christ, the streams are AWFUL for the price. The yearly subscription cost must be a joke. I can’t imagine anyone other than travel players parents purchasing this. The team you want to watch probably isn’t viewable under community, and you won’t be told that before purchasing a useless subscription and being pulled into a more expensive one. Unfortunately if you want to watch junior hockey, this is probably your only route.... and the devs know it.

Glitches with app on Firestick
For the last 6 weeks when attempting to watch our sons game with the app on our Amazon Firestick the game jumps forwards and backwards in time, we see a play then it jumps back in time and plays to that play then freezes
But... no issues on the iPad which we now plug into our tv
And no issues with the app playing on our Roku TV (wifi) we have set up outside when we watch the 3rd in the hot tub
