  • MLS Season Pass destroys the joy of watching soccer

The only way that you can watch a game on MLS Season Pass is if you watch it live and never have to pause for prolonged periods of time, but live is hardly predictable. If you ever leave and have to come back it restarts the game from the beginning, not from where you were. Then if you were unlucky enough to not get back to the game before it finished you have the same problem as those who weren’t able to catch the game at all. That problem is not having the final score plastered all over the place before you have even watched the game. The whole point is to watch the game to find out the score not the other way around. An easy fix would be to give those fans that don’t want spoilers a settings option when they pick their favorite team so that the joy of the game is maintained. Also for the away coverage having to hear the announcers for the other team when they are so ardently only talking about their team and not making it a nationwide coverage, which is what it has ended up becoming, is not enjoyable. I was so excited when Apple got this contract, but have been gravely disappointed. The games are unwatchable. I really hope that Apple is able to correct these things so that I am able to enjoy the games that I am unable to attend.

  • MLS pass disaster

The layout is terrible and the decision making that’s been put into this shows a clear disrespect for the user. By default scores aren’t hidden and there is no option in the app to hide scores you have to go through the settings on your iPhone/iPad (tv or computer each is separate!). The default playback for matches is the recap/highlight video which makes no sense, I’m not paying for highlight videos I’m paying to watch the full match! Instead if I want to watch the full match I have to scroll to the bottom of the match page and click an unclear/tiny button of text to select the whole match replay. What’s worse is the layout for the “how to watch” option places it directly below the individual match highlights which show the goals and who scored them - so much for not spoiling the match! I seriously can’t understand how this could be released in this terrible state. Apple used to be known for smart intuitive design but this is the worst layout I’ve ever seen for anything and the people involved should be fired. Please fix immediately.

  • Love it!

Apple TV is a great streaming service that has a lot of amazing shows and movies to choose from. Not only that, but it's also incredibly easy to use, which is a big plus for anyone who wants to sit back and enjoy their favorite content without any hassle.

The user interface of Apple TV is very intuitive and user-friendly. It's easy to navigate through the different menus and find the content you're looking for. You can browse through the available shows and movies by genre, search for a specific title, or even ask Siri to help you find something to watch.

But what really sets Apple TV apart is the quality of its content. From critically acclaimed dramas to family-friendly comedies, there's something for everyone on this platform. Some of the standout shows that are worth watching include "The Morning Show," "Ted Lasso," "Servant," "For All Mankind," and "Dickinson."

One of the things I appreciate about Apple TV is the way it presents its shows and movies. The platform doesn't bombard you with a lot of clutter and ads like some other streaming services. Instead, it focuses on the quality of the content and the user experience.

Overall, I highly recommend Apple TV to anyone who loves watching TV shows and movies. It's easy to use, has a lot of great content, and offers an enjoyable viewing experience. If you're looking for a new streaming service to try, give Apple TV a chance!

  • MLS Season Pass Issues

I’m a Seattle Sounders Alliance Member. My season is split 3 ways with two additional partners. All 3 partners have their own Apple family share yet the only way to share the season pass benefit is by family share. Apple also only allows you to be in one family, therefore my partners cannot join my family to access the benefit they have paid for unless they leave their family share. Clearly MLS and Apple did not consider this when determining how to allow all season ticket holders to have access to this season pass benefit.

My club season ticket rep, referred me to Apple Care who in turn referred me to MLS. No one seems to know how or wants to deal with the issue and I’ve been told repeatedly that my partners will have to leave their family and join mine to enjoy the benefits.

I know it’s only day 2 of this new process but I hope and expect a workaround will be reached prior to the opening day of the 2023 MLS season!

  • Used to be a 5-star app

I’m disappointed in the 16.2 version of the TV app. When I go to the TV app, my primary intention is to watch something I’ve queued up or to search for something I want to watch. My secondary intention is to browse.

With the previous app, its design matched my intentions perfectly. First, I started with my Up Next content prominently at top and then when I felt like browsing or couldn’t find anything interesting in my Up Next I could simply swipe down and explore promoted and suggested content. That design made great sense to me and felt like Apple design.

The new design feels like Google/Amazon/Roku design which is less focused on the user experience and more focused on advertising and promotion. By putting promotional content at the top, it changes the focus of the TV app to be on promoting content that may or may not be relevant to the user. Additionally, it now takes two swipes to get to your Up Next selections which adds friction and mitigates one of the TV app’s best features which was that it brought together your shows from (almost) all streaming apps.

I hope Apple will either revert/change/improve this design or give us the ability to customize it. I’ve found myself returning to my old behavior which is to just launch the streaming app that I know has the content I want to watch at that moment which is sad because the previous TV app was so great at being a one-stop-shop.

  • Greed

The previous review complained about Apple greed and I have to agree. Apple‘s greed is the overwhelming force behind everything they do all of the apps on the phone I’ve had a 12+ max for a couple years and I can’t tell you that it really does anything differently than my iPhone 4s. It’s not like iOS works very well. Every time they update it there’s something else wrong with it. iOS is possibly the worst operating system I’ve ever seen it doesn’t work. They ruined speech to text recently. I know how they do that. They manage to take things that work perfectly well, and for the sake of change, that’s all they change them and ruin them. I don’t know anyone that seems to really know what Apple TV is for. Is it hardware? Is it software? What is it for? I can do everything I need to do with my Roku and a few other things maybe with my fire stick. But Apple TV is a mystery. Is there an Apple TV app that you can buy movies and stuff on? Nobody I know knows. Just like I can’t see a purpose for Apple TV. I’m beginning to not see any purpose for an iPhone. I have $1500 that week. The end of Apple for me.

  • THERE IS SO MANY NOTIFICATIONS

Hi, this app is enjoyable. But, there is a twist. This app when first downloaded was awesome to expect. I don’t remember if there was a Notification sign. I was watching NFL. I stoped watching for a while. Which is right now. A lot of times, the one of the most annoying thing is the notifications. Please make a stop to this. I can’t turn off the notifications. Because there is no notification button on the app icon in settings. Please, please stop it. That is gonna make me happy. It is mostly good. If i was mistaken about the settings part, please tell me. It’s because i might not know where the notification button is. My dad makes me watch it but i don't want to. Today, while i was reading, I herd a notification, i though that was somthing else, but, i checked, and it was a notification that this app is wanting for me to watch it. I am really mad right now. Just stop this! Please!

  • Terrible Redesign!

Wow…Talk about taking an amazing app and completely destroying one of the main purposes for using an Apple TV, Up Next. Now, you are bombarded with Apple TV+ shows trying to get you to buy or watch them. The Up Next feature (which was the best part of having an Apple TV) is now a shell of what it once was and is no longer a focus for the user. Instead, you are now offered a small thumbnail of your Up Next carousel in the top 1/3 of the screen, with the lower 2/3 being advertisements for Apple TV+ shows. You no longer get any previews or artwork for Up Next, just that little square box. This terrible change by whomever approved this disaster actually has me questioning if it’s now even worth to have the Apple TV since features are being taken away. Almost all TV’s today are smart and have the Apple TV+ app, so the worth of the Apple TV is pretty moot if they remove or no longe care about one of the main reasons for having it. Instead of continuing to provide an amazing customer experience, Apple has opted to force you to see what they want you to see, and when, for their own personal gain. I’m not sure who this redesign is for, but Apple TV owners don’t buy an Apple TV for the TV+ app, they buy an Apple TV because it is the only product that provides you a unified experience and watch list that is continuously updated. Apple called it Up Next, and it was amazing before greed took over.

  • Apple TV ( a first for me)

Accidentally started watching Echo3 a few weeks ago. By the time I found out it was an extended mini series, it was too late!
I found myself being “hooked”, waiting days or more for the following episode…
Was very surprised because as a workaholic I have “never” done this before…
In short the production, the cast, the theme and the acting was so on point, that every time the next series showed up, I put aside “whatever” I was doing to see the next chapter…

*Now I am ashamed of myself, knowing that a financial player who mentors others should have enough Self Discipline than to allow himself to be “Hooked in and Controlled by a TVmini series or any other form of entertainment when he should be engulfed in his “own game” ….
Yes this was during day time hours.

We should lead by example and practice what we preach !!!!

PS: if the series was not “all that” and I didn’t give it a “10”, this would not have happened and I would not have taken the time out to write this Lesson and Compliment to Apple and the creators of that film..,,,,

  • thank you for fixing your revised app

last night i was able to watch the credits on your roku tv app. I must watch credits. it's like reading a book without the cover and copyright page, listening to an album without liner notes. maybe it was just me, pressing buttons in the wrong directions, but i'm happy again, and continue to believe for the most part your productions are works of genius. Pachinko, Home Before Dark, See, Tehran, Shantaram, Black Bird, Slow Horses, The Mosquito Coast, For All Mankind, Truth Be Told, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, The Essex Surface, Shining Girls, Invasion, Foundation, Dr Brain, love them all, not even mentioning the comedies, Ted Lasso, and the documentaries: Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, Louis Armstrong's Black and Blue, and the full-length films, The Causeway, The Banker, Greyhound, Finch, Coda, Palmer, Cherry, The Tragedy of MacBeth (was hoping for Best Picture Oscar, it was brilliant.) Thank you for remembering everyone involved in the production of film deserves a credit that can be seen.
