Acuity great - Acuity for client lacking

I’ve been able to use the scheduler effectively from a set up point of view. The bigger problem is for the client using the client app which seems to glitch and lose bookings , which are actually still there but the app is empty. The web link is a good option but does not prompt the client to create an account so if changes need to be made to bookings they can’t do it because they can’t log in! Website and acuity client app don’t sync which causes a lot of confusion to clients who sometimes double book. So I spend time fixing these problems. It’s cheap. It works ok. But it’s a long way from perfect and time = $.

Too many updates

Been using for around 6 years and it’s a very intuitive and user friendly experience don’t have any other complaints rather than way too many updates and changes to the UI

Best scheduling software

Invest your time upfront by setting up all your administrative needs and then Acuity will give you, and importantly, your clients a seamless, fluid transaction from start to finish. From packages, subscriptions, gift vouchers, reminders, it is fabulous. I made a mistake by moving to Treatwell to improve my visibility but goodness, the user experience for your clients is littered with obstacles and increased my administrative duties threefold. In fact there is no comparison when looking at functionality.

The only thing I’d change would be the option to add fixed appointment times - I offer corporate well-being with set appointments times so being able to structure a calendar with these would be amazing. However, doesn’t take away from everything gained from having this scheduling software and will continue to use it as long as my practice is operational.

Better appointment reminders

Love love this ap for my clients & myself, however, one big and helpful request would be for a better appointment reminder option. I get a quiet faint beep when someone books and if I’m not near my phone, I won’t see it. I don’t check my email everyday, but I have since put a reminder on my phone calendar for every night to check my “work calendar” aka this ap. Unfortunately, this week the reminder didn’t help bc I had someone book for this morning & didn’t know. 🫣😕 she text me that she was running late is why I knew lol Anyway, just saying it would be super super helpful if we could somehow get a text msg or a better alert when someone books. I def think text msg would be best. Other than that, loving the Ap! Appreciate it!!💚

Not working with Firefox

Hello. Please fix this bug! In Firefox the appointment times don’t show up. I have clients who can’t book me :(

Good but needs improvement

I switched over to this booking software at the beginning of this year and have been pleasantly surprised. It’s much easier to use compared to the first software I was using and it’s stepped up my business. However, there are a few things I think could be improved that would make it all the more worth investing in. First, the notifications telling you someone made an appointment should include the day it was scheduled on, not just the date & time (ex: Appointment scheduled on Monday September 30, 2024 at 10am). Let’s be honest, people don’t want to have to look at their phone calendars to check what day that appointment lands on. Secondly, there should be an option for customers/clients to pay with Apple Pay that is integrated into the acuity mobile app. Around 99% of my clients prefer mobile payments like Apple Pay or Zelle, rarely anyone carries cash or wants to input credit card info. I’m sure many other business owners agree. Lastly, I think it would be helpful to have an option to make add-ons a collapsible menu on acuity booking sites, similar to collapsible categories, so that it’s less cluttered if we have various add-ons to choose from. Overall, acuity is a great software but these few changes would make such a big difference!!!

Acuity is sleeping

It used to be the best scheduling app BUT it's been YEARS they've launched new features, they do sweet nothing but a new version to correct bugs. They have a nice forum for users but they do ... nothing.
No the quote: if you don't grow, you'll die.
That is sad, and I will leave this app in a few days.

I’m figuring out how to work with a different service

The app is less than useless, and every time I talk to someone with the company about it all they can do is agree that I shouldn’t be having whatever problem it is that I’m having and one day maybe they’ll fix it. Logging in can be impossible, it gives the wrong permissions to the wrong people at a workplace, I’m constantly getting notifications about appointments that have nothing to do with me in any way, and the functions like blocking time just don’t work effectively.

New Update Is Terrible

Sick of the constant updates but the latest one is terrible. I find I have to dig around way too much in appointments or client files to find the information I need when it used to be so user-friendly and simple. After 8 years I think I’ll be shopping other options for my business’ booking software.

No stop updates

Why must you do an app update 1-2 times per week?? This is so annoying the app stalls unless you do it. I use this for 2 businesses and have know others who use acuity as well. I’m ready to look for something else.
