Charged more after service
This is awful. The “provider” came and mowed, and then decided to invoice me for an additional $5 after the fact without contacting me beforehand. And he decided to communicate this several days after with a text at 4:30 in the morning!! Never again.
Lawn Buddy was no help and said it was between me and the provider. They take no responsibility and leave you to fend for yourself. Do yourself a favor and just use Craigslist. Less hassle and work is just as good.

Be aware, Fraud, scam, No call no show twice, no support
Be aware, this is fraud and scam that’s why they get your credit card before you even make the schedule.
I downloaded this app hoping to get a landscape service scheduled a few days in advance. I scheduled the mow for Wednesday and received confirmation that the provider accepted the job; no one showed up on Wednesday, so I tried to contact the provider and nobody answered nor returned my calls, I contacted the customer service which claimed they don’t see it scheduled for Wednesday and it is gong to happen on Thursday even though I told him my app clearly shows it is scheduled and approved for Wednesday.
I contacted support on Thursday with no respond, contacted the provider with no response, I even told the support on Wednesday that This is a short term rental and my tenant is suppose to come on Thursday.
This app causes me to get a negative review due to Lanscape and lost future business which can add up to thousands of dollars as this house is a luxury rental.
I am writing this for all people out there thinking about using this app. Think twice, they are more like fraud than an actual legit company.

DON’T DO IT!
I want to be very clear in my review: the one star is for Lawn Buddy app. A very sweet provider saved the day (see below) and was in my yard till after dark picking up the other crappy provider’s slack.
Why was he there while it was dark? Because the other service provider assigned to mow during the day didn’t show up or respond to any messages from me OR the Lawn Buddy team. So my other lawn work scheduled this weekend (grass had to be mowed first) was put into jeopardy. After hours of waiting for customer service to provide a solution Green Deal was kind enough to pick up my lawn request and mow.
I am horrified with the quality of Lawn Buddy’s service. If Green Deal wouldn’t have made it out yesterday I was facing $50-$100 worth of fees to cancel other scheduled work outside my home. The customer service team never did call to confirm that Green Deal was going to come last minute (they promised to call and let me know if they found someone to come out). All of this is after my awful first mowing experience with Green Buddy- the provider charged my card DOUBLE, then refused to refund me and cut off all contact with both myself and the Lawn Buddy team.
I spent 5+ days waiting for Lawn Buddy to provide me a refund because their customer service team can’t issue refunds (crazy!) and had to wait for an executive to make it happen.
Their repeated excuse for this ridiculousness is “we don’t have any control over the lawn providers we subcontract”. That’s fine- hire better quality providers! Research the providers reliability and company before putting them on Lawn Buddy! I don’t care that these providers are subcontracted- either choose quality companies to participate or put regulations in place to ensure the providers compliance and good customer service.
I will NEVER use Lawn Buddy again. The final straw on top of my two awful experiences above was when I was facing big fees to cancel my other yard work if the Lawn Buddy provider failed to get my grass cut in time. I asked for a complimentary lawn cut if I did have to pay fees to reschedule the other work due to Lawn Buddy’s failure. The supervisor would only consider a $10 discount after all of the company’s failures. If Lawn Buddy wanted to keep their customers they would go above and beyond to make things right, especially in a situation like mine.

Good concept - communication is lacking
This is a good concept but the execution, management, and communication are lacking.
I scheduled a mowing 2 days out. The mowers arrived the same day. Great right, given that there is normally a surcharge for same day service? Nope, I wanted someone to mow our old house that is currently listed for sale. The mowers showed up and spent 45 minutes mowing the yard during the 2 hour open house. Why!?!?
On top of that, they did a pretty crappy job. The lawn was scalped down to the dirt in at least 3 spots. That’s going to look great for potential buyers...
There were also a couple spots that appears to have just gone unmowed. What’s my recourse here? Leave a 1 star review? Whoopitydoo!!

DO NOT USE
My original provider did not show up. The replacement provider marked the job complete and took a pic of my house without cutting my lawn. This service is a nightmare to use. Do not use them

This is a perfect connection between homeowners and professionals. This is a tool that should be used by anyone owning a home or providing services for homeowners. Great Job!
Run if you have a large lawn
Lawnmower was getting repaired and not usable. Figured I would use this service to fill in until my riding mower was fixed. The morning the service was to come out, I checked in to find out what time they would be coming and found out the kid had a 21” push mower to mow my 12k sq ft lawn. The kid cancelled and I was left with my grass growing taller and the HOA (I’m sure) sending me a violation for not mowing my lawn.
Just understand the people mowing the lawns are doing this for extra income is what it seems like and the level of service is going to be hit or miss.

No cancel button. It is what it is.
Ok. I think you need to understand what this app is, and what it isn’t. It’s service, to let you communicate with (first!) and schedule service with (later) a lawn care provider. It’s not “uber for lawn care” by any means. Understanding this, all the stuff that was driving me nuts — you’re *required* to have a preferred provider; no “cancel” button; etc — makes more sense.
So yeah. It’s an OK app. I retract my one-star review and give it a solid “OK.”

Don’t bother using
They told me someone would come out on Thursday. No show. They scheduled someone for Friday. No show. No one from their support team is responding on the chat. No phone number to call.
