  • Takes a long time

It takes a long time to load into the game all it showed was a white screen then it changed to the loading screen and can you tell us when to build mode is gonna be finished and that’s all
  • Room for Improvement I Hope !,

The overall sim / game is good and fun to play and the graphics are excellent. My issue is with the paid for UK DLC,s. They feel more like a train set than a simulation. The best U K DLC on Trainz 2 was Rosworth Vale and there was a good level of immersion and plenty to do but not so the on Trainz 3. There needs to be more content on these routes and feel short changed having to pay more for these routes. Also I can’t find free drive option since the update on these routes. I hope these comments are taken constructively as I’m eagerly waiting for more updates.

  • Great But Room For Improvements

I have been waiting for this game for a long time, and I am overall pleased, but i have a few gripes. 1 is the lack of a main menu. I’m sure over time I will get used to it, but it makes it a little difficult to free drive on the map I want. 2. I bought the NYC streamlined locomotive and no matter what I do the locomotive will not appear in game when I place it, only the tender. 3. I know this release is brand new, and I am hoping for a surveyor sometime soon. Overall a great game but there is room for improvements!

Update: Very pleased to see a free drive feature.

  • Fix or Refund

I have an iPhone 8 that is compatible for this game. I’ve paid like everyone else. It downloaded ok, every time I try to open the app. It tries to open then boots me out to my Home Screen. Tried sending messages to support with no reply. Fix it or refund.

I am able to load the game now. But it keeps crashing. Not ready to give up yet. Please do something.

  • Feels a little bit unfinished

I’ve been playing Trainz for years since the early version of the game on iPad way back in 2011, and it was really good, since then I stuck with the series eventually going on to the main series on PC… however Trainz 3 is a nice upgrade and is less laggy than TD2, it feels a bit unfinished…
We were promised as the consumers and the players that this would be the best train sim on mobile, which it is, but it’s missing the magic the older ones had, the magic of being able to create your own routes and sessions like the series was originally created for…
But the create session button and create route button is nowhere to be found, sure there’s the place trains button where you could place a train down on the track next to the current one but it’s not the same…

I must say that Trainz 3 is fantastic, no doubt about it. However if this game is to improve the way forward is to have the ability to create sessions and routes…

Take my advice N3V, a similar type of game that is made for the farming community called Farming simulator went the same road Trainz went, the games were fantastic but led to the mobile games downfall due to loosing the key features that it’s players came to know, which in that series was multiplayer.

Please don’t make the same mistake, there’s still time to fix this. And I know it can be done because you guys have proven to do it before.

  • Looks like it’s going to be great.

A really fantastic game with fantastic graphics. I would say it’s a great simulator. The most annoying thing for me at the moment is that you can’t seem to delete save games they just build up as multiple copies hence the four star at the moment. The tutorial is great but a bit buggy. Was easy to pick up the more complicated controls.

  • Hoping for improvements and new features over time.

I was really excited when I heard about the launch of Trainz3 coming having enjoyed Trainz2.

My excitement was short lived once I started playing. The graphics are great I can’t deny that but the overall UX while using the menus and in game controls feel clunky, confusing and dated.

I was annoyed there was no free drive but that was fixed within a couple of days. Still no free drive for the premium routes such as market easterly though.

I am hoping that the devs push updates over the coming days to improve and add more content to the game.

Despite the negative points I have made I still believe this is the best train simulator game in iOS but if Dovetail games decided to make a version of their sim then Trainz3 could be toast.

    Developer Response

To free drive on any route just open a session, filter on locos and place your own trains.
  • Perfect for the serious train simulator

This next generation train simulator is absolutely perfect for anyone from beginner to expert and exceeds all the necessary standards required in all categories and is clearly fit for sale. This one definitely deserves a solid grand platinum 5 stars from myself.
  • This game is good

Look, I like this game. It’s honestly great, but I would like to see things from trainz 2 like multiplayer / multiplayer chat and the option to create sessions. The sessions are cool but I would like to make my own. Also, I would like to see a proper main menu like in trainz 2 because this is just jumping straight in to the sessions and all that. Enough ranting, this game is great but it needs more.

  • Disappointed

As an avid fan of Trainz I’ve been looking forward to the launch of Trainz 3. Now it’s here I can’t help but feel disappointed. Even on an iPad Pro, it’s sluggish and feels unfinished. The new controls don’t feel intuitive and despite the publishers description, I can’t find anyway of giving drivers AI instructions. I certainly won’t be purchasing any additional content until I can see that things have improved.
