  • It’s fixed

When I said my screen would go white all I had to do was wait like 10 minutes and it loaded me in

We are working on a fix for the white screen bug. For now, uninstall and reinstall and you'll be back up and running again.
  • Good start

The game is a big jump from Trainz 2 in a lot of aspects such as graphics and a more polished look. However, this comes at the cost of having far less content to start with not a great deal of add ons imo. One suggestion I have is implementing more routes like Razorback (Trainz 2) for their size and playability. As the game is it it’s early stages it is understandable why this may be. Along with this, it’d be amazing if you guys could add more NSWGR stuff (particularly steam locos) as I’m loving the 59 class that is part of the new game as standard,

Trainz (actual nickname at my school)

Perhaps you're missing something in the menu filters. Four routes, 20 sessions including the tutorials, almost 100 different locos and cars, and unlimited free play. The DLC is not where T2 is at after 7 years of course, but we're working on it!
  • Well worth the wait.

The title says it all from my perspective. I’ve felt rather tentative with previous versions but for the most part, I’m finding this much easier to learn (unless it’s down to more time on my hands due to Covid!).
On my iPad, I’m seeing outstanding graphics, good controlability (though I’ve not tried advanced controls yet. Still very early days.
Overall, though, I think the team are to be congratulated for an excellent product under what must have been very difficult circumstances.

  • So glitchy and bad it’s unplayable.

I have an iPhone 12 pro, if there is any phone that should be capable of handling this game it should be fine. This is the most ridiculous release I’ve ever witnessed. It lags so bad you can’t even tell what’s going on in the game. And when you can, there’s no settings screen, there’s no ability to delete a train in the editor, the driver situation is extremely confusing. I can’t tell when I’m in control of the train and when I’m not. For the price you’re asking for this game it should’ve never been released, and tell the bugs were worked out. I will not open the app again until a release is given to fix these unplayable issues.

  • It’s good, but…

I’ve been playing it for a while and it’s a good train sim. It’s been a long wait since the previous version and it has been improved a lot, but I’m giving it 3 stars for now because my iPad is so red hot playing this that I’m worried it’s going to cause damage and it’s not an old iPad either. Also, the app has crashed on me a few times, I don’t know if it’s a bug or the heat, but I hope that both issues can be sorted out in future updates. Apart from that it’s good.

  • Suggestions and Conercns

The game so far is pretty well made, It’s a decent
upgrade to the previous game engines of Trainz driver 1 and 2. The routes are beautiful and the locomotives have similar graphics to older generation train simulators, which for mobile is VERY decent.
However. The Trainz series has always stood out to me for 3 things. Route Creator, Quick drive and free drive. Which, NONE of these features are in this game. I think I speak for the fans when I ask for these features to be added.
Otherwise it’s very similar to your generic Train simulator on console or PC. And therefore i give it 4 stars for a bit above mediocrity

  • Good but could use some improvements

I’m still getting used to this game, been a long time Trainz 2 player. But this game saved mobile players, it’s so much newer & hopefully with time they add more trains, more routes, & hopefully they can simplify the controls like in Trainz 2, & add a free drive session. Also they could add the function to quit a session when you pause the game, & world builder would definitely help! Overall the game is good, it’s just missing those things & then it’ll be perfect

  • Brilliant

Love the game so far, definitely worth the money. Still unsure on the menu controls, I haven’t figured out how to cancel a session or how to change the weather and time. And there is a bug with the Dreyfuss Hudson where it clips through the map making it invisible. But so far the graphics are beautiful for mobile and other than those small complaints I love the game! Can’t wait to see what will be added.

  • Honestly…I’m not sure how I want to rate this

This is coming from your average joe. I’m not an expert in the tech world or the train world. I am an enthusiast but by no means an “expert”

I kind of feel like after all of the build up in your emails about “the most advanced mobile train sim”, the game is lacking in a way. There is no “settings” tab (unless I missed it) so you cannot change your graphics settings or anything. Graphics…yes they’re nice, but glitchy. On a rocky mountaineer session while rolling out of the station the world around me disappeared. Just the trees, tracks and train were visible. It takes long to render going from cab view to outside and vice versa.

There’s no true “main menu”. Again no settings tabs or game menus. It’s just “choose location, session, go”. No free drive from what I could find. Only sessions. That’s really disappointing in my opinion.

Rolling stock is kind of limited. You say you have 50+ cars but they’re just different paints. So really you only truly have around half that.

Audio sounds recycled. I recognize some horn and engine sounds from your previous games. Again, Disappointing for “the most advanced mobile train sim”

While I want to like this being a rail enthusiast, I’m finding it difficult to. I’ll give you 3 stars because it is a new release and you still have some things to patch but I honestly was expecting much more. I’ll keep it installed for now and play a bit more

  • Good content… but needs a few patches first…

I’m happy that a new Trainz game has finally came for mobile and all… but in the early days I’m having a bit of trouble getting the game to start. At one point I was driving Tornado down the track in Kickstarter County 2.0 and it just stopped on a dime but the wheels kept spinning. Nothing to worry about though it’s probably early teething troubles. I’m sure N3V will sort it out soon!
