Listening to music should not be this painful!
Buyers remorse here. Actual speaker performance is everything I expected and more from a $1K bookshelf but app makes them almost unusable. Wish I would have read app reviews before purchasing.
You should be prosecuted
You should be prosecuted for making false statements about capabilities of these speakers but limiting them exclusively to this ridiculous app. It doesn’t work, it doesn’t allow to connect to the speakers and it’s not going to. Developer should do some time behind bars, just saying.
Bad
Disturbing that such a good speaker company has released a completely useless app to accompany it. Can’t even open it.
This app is problematic
I find that the connection to the speakers (LS50 Wireless) is frequently loss. The Tidal app (unlike Spotify) does not all you to play to another device like a loudspeaker. This is unfortunate because all that I am left with to control playback is this KEF Stream app and it is unreliable.
Infuriating
Absolutely love the speakers, fab big sound did such a compact size. However, this app or the app/speaker combo isn’t ready for market. My god I want to die after 2 or 3 songs when the music yet again just stops or halts. Is it the WiFi connection I don’t know but it is incredibly frustrating to play (or not rather) music with this app. Sort it out pretty please. Further: why can I not see the current song playing?? And when i switch between apps and go back to playing music, my previous KEF view is lost! I.e. having had my playlist on, and switched to f something else in another app I have to go all the way back to selecting my music, playlists, playlist and scroll back to where I was every single time. Which happens a lot as the music keeps randomly stopping.

Thank God Their Speakers Are Better Than Their App
Who designed these apps. Two apps, why. Wi-Fi, streams for 20 seconds & cuts out.
Seriously KEF, you need to solve this problem & soon. If I wanted Bluetooth sound I could have gotten a cheaper speaker .
This makes me wonder if I should have just gone for it & gone w/ the Dynaudio

Great Speakers with the worst app
KEF makes amazing speakers but they have not worked out the kinks. I have used KEF speakers for many years and unless you are hard wired via ethernet this app does not work. Even after ethernet connectivity, this app loses the connection and you cannot go back to the playlist or song you are currently streaming. Very dissapointed.

Crap. Bluesound needed.
Giving up on this app. Got the ls50w early, app was a real struggle to deal with at the start. Then got slightly less bad. Then last iOS update killing background apps too early, fixed by Apple, but in this last release Kef managed to screw it up. Come on... almost 3 years failing to get some stability with basic streaming ‘play the music’ features?

Questioning APP
I should be more alert when rating are so low on both KEF apps if I should buy because the sale promotion.
I’m debate if I want to return their flagship LSW50
1) trouble in getting firmware update
2) lack of site maintained on their international websites. I found Uk site is safe to download but the one in NA are lack of site certificates.
3) KEF streaming app doesn’t work properly. Should I say It it never work properly. It doesn’t show what is currently playing for one.
4) KEF control still very buggy and the new 2.5.6 breaks more things than adding language support. I only like the equalizer to adjust according to speaker placement

Great Speakers Ruined by Terrible Software
I can’t wirelessly stream my music to these speakers from Tidal. KEF Control (a separate app), shows I’m connected to the speakers, but the connection in KEF Stream is non existent or at best will connect and drop constantly. Had I known I would have this experience for the last year I never would have spent the money on these speakers.
