  • is this for children?

I appreciated this game, but the marketing is misleading, which led to disappointment. I’m not sure if this is meant to be a version of MV for young kids, but it is way, way easier than the original MV. You can do all the levels with minimal thought/attention; there were only one or two times that the way to proceed through the level wasn’t immediately obvious and even then it only took a few seconds of experimentation to figure it out. So for an adult this is more of a relaxation game. Which isn’t bad necessarily, but it should have been made clear in the marketing that this is a simplified version of MV, not a true sequel.
I also thought the art was less intricate and interesting than in the original.
There were some cool concepts in this version that were new since MV1, like the growing bushes and the landscapes where every feature rotated simultaneously, or the 2-dimensional Mondrian-esque landscape, which I did appreciate.

  • Monument

Monument valley is incredible it’s a fun game to play when you want to wind down or do something relaxing why I only did a 4 star though is because it can be really frustrating when you can’t find out to do the puzzle your working on but other then that it is great thanks monument valley
  • I love it

    Beautiful and relaxing.
  • Bonkers that people think it’s expensive

This game is absolutely stunning - there’s only one other game that equals this series when it comes to game design, gamification, and audio (I’m sure you all know the other game series). I can’t fault this at all - the gameplay is beautiful, gripping, and an entire multi sensory experience. I’d be more than happy to pay for a third should it be in development (I hope so!). An experience that no one should miss - if you’ve been considering this game, or the first one (or both!), and been on the verge of purchasing… I’d say 100% just go for it - less than that Oat Flat White you’ll be buying tomorrow morning. Finally, a great free expansion of 4 levels has just been added - intertwining trees with the mystical mechanical universe of Monument, while raising awareness of #play4forests

thanks so much for your kind words!
  • Amazing! Love it!

I can’t stress enough how much I love this game! I have never given a game a 5 star review, but you deserve it! I love the sound a lot but wish that the new chapter The Lost Forest’s music was in Apple Music. The graphics are simply stunning and breathtaking!
I personally like that Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2 have not been copied and that you didn’t copy another game. It’s original, creative, beautiful, and satisfying. The puzzles aren’t unsolvable, there are no adds, and so much more! I love the story of the mother and daughter and the storyline, Monument Valley had remarkable soundtracks, graphics, and an understandable storyline. I also liked that once you finished the main levels, you could still do Forgotten Shores and Ida’s dream. I loved that Totem was still in this game and thought it was a nice touch. Thank you for this time!

  • Where is has the ingenuity gone?

I love monument valley, I really do. But what has happened to the cleverness, the difficulty, the head scratching puzzles that made the first game what it was? The first game had a main story, forgotten shores, and idas dream. There were some hard puzzles in the main story, harder puzzles in shores, and the hardest puzzles in idas dream. Each section of the game built off the last in terms of difficulty, in the way platforms would move, in the way the world would visually bend to your finger. Monument 2 is completely devoid of any challenge whatsoever. Some levels of the game have proactively no puzzle whatsoever, and you’re limited not by your ability to think in the MC Escher world, but by the walking speed of the character. The recent “expansion” (I use this term very loosely) for the game got me excited. Wow, 4 new levels since the game was released! They’ve had all this time to think of clever puzzles and unique ways the world can hide a solution. Imagine my disappointment when it wasn’t 4 levels, but rather one level with 4 transitions, and that it has the same difficulty as the third level of monument 2. The difficulty of the puzzles was never something anyone complained about in 1, so it makes no sense to me why it was removed. I know monument valley 3 is in the works- I sincerely hope that it won’t become the boated brain-dead mess that 2 is.

  • Love, love, LOVE this game.

Never played the first one but I will now. This isn’t just a game, it’s a work of art! Thanks to all of you who created it.
  • I LOVE MONUMENT VALLEY! ❤️❤️

My dad showed me monument valley a couple years ago and the graphics and art style is AMAZING 🤩 I was a huge fan of the original and I love the new one as well! Fantastic game! I have a couple suggestions but if any of them would take away from the simplistic futuristic setting of the game then I didn’t really think it through well enough!! I feel like more of a back story would be nice 😊 and I really missed the silent princess I know this might mess up the timeline but if there was a way to switch your character that would be great, but it’s fine if not because I get that the story is important. AMAZING GAME must download!!! 😍😍

  • Worth every cent

Wonderful game! Great art style, great puzzles and a very nice end.
Loved every minute of this game and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who likes good visual adventures and puzzles.
  • Incredible game

This game is honestly the best game I’ve played it’s definitely worth buying. In my opinion this was a bit easier than the first one but that doesn’t really affect the game much for me. The music and sound was absolutely amazing and I just love this game I 100% recommend
