  • Awesome and addictive

Just like the PC version. UI controls could do with a touch up but otherwise great port! A+
  • 200% worth it

I was considering buying this masterpiece at full price for pc but with a reduced price like that for mobile, it's even more worth it. Thanks to the devs for their amazing work.
  • Don't listen to the others

The game is amazing, I've played it on PC and I've played it on the iPad, it's a fantastic dungeon crawler with real life aspects like managing stress, dealing with disease, and the consequences when your party gets too stressed out. So far I've found nothing wrong with the game when it comes to any sort of bugs and glitches and in all honesty, many of the one star reviews are because it's not their style of game so they decide to call it awful.

  • The Game, man oh man

    *UPDATE*

So I reached out to the developers about the game. Though the game has a brilliant and great story line and could be one of the if not the best Dungeon Crawlers apps, the team themselves responsible for developing the app responded with this answer.

At this time we are not planning on redoing the art work because it would require so much work and money to make the application fit the bigger ipads with higher resolution. So though they are charging 5 bucks for the application and have had successfully sold high quantities of the app they still have it no where in their agenda to make the app work better for the bigger ipad.

Be aware of this before purchasing and no that if you have an iPad Pro, the app will only fill a portion of the screen making the buttons very small and the app looks horrible. The buttons you have to push numerous times if you dont have small fingers. The Interface buttons for the whole game is very, very small, the buttons are half the size of a dime.

  • The game hasn't even started and already a UI problem

I have never played this and at this moment I have not started, why? Because when choosing the game difficulty the descriptions of what these difficulties equate to disappear the moment you tap on them.

    You should fix that.

Now having played it is ok. It does not fill more than half the screen. There is a distinct lack of instructions as to what attacks do. I am currently not sure if the chest that was pictured on screen was ever opened because my only option was to leave the screen and return to town.

Turns out the tapping problem isn't just limited to the menus. In town if a building is unlocked it passes right by any description of its purpose and dumps you into menus. Why am I being charged for something that should still be in beta?

At this point I question why the editors picked this.

  • Great!

Darkest Dungeon is a fantastic game for a tablet and possible a game most worth its price on the app store.

There is a minor complaint that prevents me from 5 staring it and its the touch controls. Being ported from pc, some buttons are too small to tap accurately and the game could use a confirmation pop up for items, because I find myself frequently using an item when I only wanted to read the descriptions. And scrolling through the roster is difficult because you have to tap a tiny arrow.

Otherwise easily one of my favourite games on a tablet.

  • Tough but rewarding

Great visuals and thematics, and at first I was put off by how quickly I ran out of steam and could not progress very far. But after redoubling my efforts and paying more attention to character skills and minimising stress to them (and thus to myself) I am having much more success and fun.
  • 10/10 ~~ controls are eeffy

Great game but controls are a little off, a tap counts as a click and there is no confirmation for buying or upgrading, to view what an ability does you must place your finger on it and keep it there for 2 seconds, take it off and read. Just tapping it will deselect it completely. I understand that it's difficult to transmute the mouse controls into finger controls but some extra work would really improve the UI and the user experience. Apart from that perfect game.

  • Great game but so hard...

Solid game but jeez, is it rough.. brings a whole new meaning to the term 'murder your darlings'
  • Great game but an issue with the user interface

A well made game with surprising amount of depth and challenges. Frustratingly enjoyable gameplay juggling between stress (essentially a stamina system), long-term buffs / de-buffs.
Many different character classes that level up and have individual skills etc. Weapons are also upgradeable - although more customizability and unique loot etc. would be better personally...

The one major down side of this game (thus the four star review despite enjoying it thoroughly) is the user interface. Scrolling is extremely hard, a tap on the screen counts as a proper click (essentially a double click on a PC) making you inadvertently buy upgrades / trinkets... This is quite frustrating and I hope the developers update to help resolve this issue.. It is already a complex game (Which is a good part of the game), the UI hinders this too much unfortunately..

Regardless would thoroughly recommend this game!
