## What is 12 Fitness Calculators?

A collection of the 12 most popular (and widely used) fitness, exercise, and weight loss calculators. Uses the latest, most scientifically accurate formulas available from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, American Heart Association, American College of Sports Medicine, and many others. Based on Weightmania Pro and Athlete's Database, our best selling Windows and macOS fitness software for 15 years. This app doesn't track you, collect data, or include any advertising.

Each calculator includes detailed instructions, a description, and how to interpret the results on the back (tap the information icon on any calculator to spin it around). All calculators support Metric and English and store your last settings (age, weight, height, selections, and more).

Includes the following fitness calculators. Note, technically there are 13 (not 12), but since there are two calculators for body fat (one for skinfold body fat calipers and one that only requires a tape measure or string) we only count this once.

1. Body mass index (BMI) - Calculates body mass index, a widely accepted measurement of weight status; automatically interprets result and tells how you rate.

2. Basal metabolic rate (BMR) - Calculates basal metabolic rate (the number of calories your body burns while at rest).

3. Body fat - Calculates percent body fat accurately and fast, then automatically interprets the result and tells how you rate; includes two calculators (one for skinfold body fat calipers and a second that only requires a tape measure or string).

4. Calories burned - Calculates calories burned for hundreds of different activities, for any amount of time and body weight.

5. Calories required daily - Calculates the number of calories you need daily, based on your age, weight, gender and activity level.

6. Distance-time-pace-speed - Calculates distance, time, pace and speed for cardiovascular workouts; great for planning and estimating what you ran.

7. Math + Metric to English conversion - A 42-key calculator for basic and advanced calculations; also performs 14 different metric and English conversions.

8. One-repetition maximum weight (1 rep max) - Calculates your one-repetition maximum weight ("one rep-max"), and 20 percentages of that weight, for any weight training exercise. This is widely used to measure overall strength and determine how much weight to use in many weight training programs.

9. Resting heart rate timer - Helps you calculate your resting heart rate or heart rate after a workout. Heart rate can be used to evaluate your health and fitness level. Includes a large, scientifically accurate 2 minute, 1-minute, 30-second and 15-second count-down timer. Makes it easy to regularly check heart rate at home.

10. Splits (for running, walking, cycling and swimming) - Calculates splits for any distance or interval. This is the time required to finish each segment of a run, walk, bike ride or swim. It's great for race planning, analyzing workouts, or anytime you want to maintain an even pace during training. For example, it calculates the time you need at each mile or kilometer to finish a race in a specific time.

11. Target heart rate - Calculates the range (zone) your heart rate should be in during cardio workouts for maximum safety and benefits.

12. Target weight - Calculates the number of calories you need to consume or burn daily to reach a weight goal by a specific date. Helps you lose or gain weight. Enter the amount of weight you want to lose or gain, then select a target date. You can also have it suggest a safe target date based on the weight entered. For increased accuracy, calculations are based on BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). This is calculated automatically using your age, gender, current weight and activity level.

The best fitness and diet tools, with the most accurate formulas available, instantly ready in one place. Monitor your health and fitness, improve your workouts, and judge the effectiveness of diets and exercise.

### 5/5 — Best Collection of Fitness Calculators

*2013-02-19*

This app contains the best fitness calculators for home users and professionals. The latest release corrects the issues mentioned in previous reviews (for example every calculator now saves your information so you don't have to re-enter it). It provides a dozen calculators missing from many fitness and nutrition apps. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in losing weight, improving their workouts or assessing their progress.

### 5/5 — Useful App

*2013-02-17, version 2.0*

This is a great tool, I use it all the time. I do multiple sports so this helps to keep me on track to get to my ideal fitness. Some of the applications are more advanced but once you take time to learn them they are really useful. App good for many different users.

### 5/5 — Useful App

*2013-02-08, version 2.0*

It's great to have all my necessary exercise calculators readily available on one app.
I'm getting towards my ideal BMI by using this app without overdoing it. Calories, weight, distance, speed, BMI...all kept track of and managed here.

### 2/5 — Ok....needs profile

*2012-06-10, version 0*

It calculates but there is no profile so you have to reenter your stats every time. Would also be useful to have a progress log for the price that it is

### 2/5 — One of the Calculators is incorrect

*2011-10-13, version 0*

This app would be perfect if it weren't for the fact that at least one of the calculators (the one for target weight) is incorrect if you are using the metric version. It says that in order to lose 1kg of weight in a week, you need a 500 cal deficit per day. To lose 1lb a week, it also states that you need a 500 cal deficit per day. 1kg=2.2lbs, 1lb of weight equates to 3,500 cal, so in order to lose 1 kg, you would need at least a 1100 cal deficit per day. I tested this out by calculating what kind of deficit I would need to lose 10kg or 22lbs over a 10 week period (both being the exact same weight, just different units)...it said I needed over twice the deficit to lose 22lbs than I would to lose 10kg!. After paying almost $5 for this app (the most I have ever paid), I'm really disappointed that this bug exists. Please fix it and I will happily give it a 5-star rating

### 2/5 — Not what I expected

*2011-09-14, version 0*

This App doesn't keep history, so you can't save any of the calculations and if you do more than one activity you want totaled, you can't add calories burned together. It's not what I was looking for would not recommend it.

### 3/5 — Over-priced and simplistic

*2011-03-29, version 0*

I was disappointed with this app which promised much more than it delivers. Simple & clear to use, but as said by previous reveiwer, does not store your statisitcs or automatically populate the calculators. With these additions & a significant price reduction this would be a nice app

### 3/5 — Bit dissapointed

*2010-11-07, version 0*

I was a bit dissapointed. Had to keep re entering the same information and it did not store the info once entered. Would be improved by a screen where you entered the info once which then populated all the screens where this was required and stored it for easy reference.

### 5/5 — Best Fitness Calculators on iTunes

*2010-11-02, version 0*

This application is full of awesome calculators. Very well designed app. All of the calculations and formulas are correct. Not only this is application is great but it has motivated me to lose weight and keep myself accountable for what I do. All I have to say is, Job Well Done.

### 5/5 — Superb and slick ap

*2010-08-15, version 0*

This ap is brilliant. I already had healthcalcs which again tells you how many calories you burn doing which exercise. However this calculates base calorie rate (what you burn for your weight sleeping) which let's you know exactly what you burn each day I.e. Base rate + exercise burn which let's you know exactly how many calories to eat to put on or lose weight. This is fantastic and recommended to anyone
