  • Practically unusable

Usability has steadily gone downhill over the past five years. The app crashes, freezes, logs me out at least once a week, refuses to save my login credentials (shame on me for having a long email address), “updates my releases” literally every time I open it, but most egregiously I cannot open the app unless I have WiFi or data access.

There is a literal function within the app to download notes and music for offline use, but the app itself now cannot be opened offline. With the constant unnecessary “updates” (sometimes interrupting while I am actively using the app), the app is terrorizing me: will it stop playing the music while I am actively teaching? I can’t stop it because I can’t disconnect my phone from data without the app also disconnecting. I shouldn’t have to brick my phone to use the app without fear of disruption, but I also should be able to brick my phone and still access the material I have paid for.

I understand DRM but this is now essentially unusable and super frustrating, especially as the only way we are allowed to access the releases. Please fix it - at the very least, reenable offline mode.

  • Release 104

Just received this release. The music and choreography is very boring. Some of the current releases have not been as motivating as the old ones. Students like music and choreography that is more energetic and “athletic”. That’s what always set Bodybalance apart from a typical yoga class. The music was dynamic and fun. Please reinstate energy similar to that from Cory, Diana, Kyle and, of course, Jackie. Plus their alignment cueing and execution of movement was amazing. Some of the newer presenters are not exciting to workout with nor are they very motivating
    Thanks

  • Missing notes

Wish you could add airplay or mirror to the tv. Like you can for the keys mills on demand. Make things easier and see the movements better.? I figure if it is for lic purpose the same can go for lmod? We can have people over and do the workout without them having to pay? Also being locked out and having to sign in with the app it seems to happen when I have to start my class it automatically logs me out.

Thanks for your feedback regarding airplay. The app can be used on an airplay capable device. Simply, start the masterclass video playing, pull down from the top of your iOS device to access mini-video controls, select the airplay button in top right hand corner of mini-controls and select the airplay device, swipe up or press home button to return to video.
  • Sprint 32

I am just now enjoying this one. I trained on 31 and started the class in time to launch for 33. I purchased 32 on my own. I love the spunky music of this one and the focus on the beat. It seems easier to hear the changes in tempo and position. OR, maybe my ear is just starting to adjust to listening for the changes? Either way, this release is so much fun.

  • Needs one thing

Needs a feature to be able to speed up music and video for purposes of instructor learning and review. Sometimes reviewing at at 1.5x or double time is the best way to make sure you’ve got the track down. I used to be able to do it all the time when I had hard copies, and then when releases were digital downloads without the releases app.

Thank you for the great feedback and feature request.
  • Working with Airplay

The app is great with minor issue for iPhone users. When I screen this app on Airplay there would be times that I'm in the middle of the work out and I see I have to reconnect. The issue is is having to restart the app and finding the point where I stopped. It happens a lot, so if this issue can be fixed for both Les Mills instructor app and Les Mills + the experience would be better.

    Thank you

Thank you for feedback on the issues you've had with airplay on the Releases App. If you could send details of the model/type of Airplay device you are casting to digital.release@lesmills.com we would value the chance to investigate this issues.

When releases are updated after they are released, state what is updated. I teach 3 formats and when something is updated it just notifies me there is an update instead of clarifying which is updated.

Next, it would be awesome if we could make highlights or notes within the app!
  • Okay app.

Often if you close the app for a minute or two and come back, it does not return to the same place that you were which can often be annoying.

I never trust the app for using the music for teaching a class - I always rely on the native music player for my device.
  • Worst. App. Ever.

Could be such an amazing tool, but it is massively lacking. Quits on me, can’t ever load the video, is always having me “download latest releases” even though they’re all downloaded. Every LM instructor at my facility has the same complaints. Many have stopped using the app altogether because it functions so poorly. Considering that this is a tool used by THOUSANDS of instructors worldwide, you would hope they would dedicate time and effort into making it functional.

  • just keeps getting better

I’ve been doing body pump since the single digit releases! I am continuing impressed at how this team brings out not just new moves with music but evolves with technique and teaching techniques!
