Functional but lacking export options

Pretty good app design, however it doesn't allow exporting to a standard format. This means i can't use it with a desktop app. This is a dealbreaker for me.

It used to work well, but the update messed it up just before my exam!

The app used to work perfectly, but the recent update from the developers has caused several issues. From the beginning, when I try to log in using Apple Relay, I receive a “response_validation_error,” which is confusing for users. This is particularly frustrating because I relied on this app to prepare for my exams and spent a lot of time creating study cards. I find it very disappointing, and I cannot recommend the app, as it seems the developers are not reliable.

SmartCards+ is a fantastic app!

It’s user-friendly and packed with features. I love being able to add voice recordings and images to my flashcards, making learning more dynamic. This app is effective for memorization, and at $12.99 per year, it’s a great value for everything it offers. I’m so glad I downloaded it!

Stunningly convenient

While using the free version, this app still seems to have no limits on flashcards reviews. You can add pictures and all as well and review your flashcards. It’s very quick and easy to make cards so you could worry less about getting distracted.

Sauce!

Good program with minor flaw

I use this program to help me practice an extensive repertoire of traditional Irish music, which should be played from memory during sessions. I list the name of the tune on the front of the card and include an audio file of the tune and an image of the sheet music on the flip side of the card. The minor flaw is the “edit” menu for the audio attachment appears mostly offscreen when my iPad is in portrait mode and entirely offscreen when in landscape mode, preventing me from either deleting or replacing the audio file. Therefore, I have to delete the entire card, then recreate it with the new audio file.

I’m using a 4th gen iPad Air with iOS 16.1.1.

Doesn’t load on Apple Watch

Won’t load decks on my watch, keeps saying “decks loading”, tried uninstalling and redownloading and nothing works. I only got this app for its ability to sync on Apple Watch. Plus the “feedback” option on the app will only open with the Apple mail app which I’ve deleted, so there’s no way to contact the dev for me now.

This issue has been fixed in the latest version. Update and give it another shot!

Excellent Language Learning app

This is an excellent app for language learning. It is highly customizable so it can be used for whatever language you want. I’ve used it for very obscure stuff with strange Unicode inputs and it works excellently. It is also generally easy to use. I would like to see a system were the user can 'star' especially difficulty cards in a deck for focused study. You can do a custom review, but that works on various metrics, and I don’t think it lets you choose which specific cards you want to review. This is, however, only a minor suggestion against what is overall an excellent app. It also works on mac, which is a bonus.

I recently reached out to the app author concerning a billing issue I had. They were very prompt to reply and kindly went above and beyond to help me out. It was much appreciated.

Highly recommended!

App isn’t working with Apple Watch Series 4

The app opens, but it doesn’t progress beyond « Loading decks… ». To no avail, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, as well as creating new decks.

Response from developer

The Apple Watch is tough- there are some things beyond our control in how it connects, how long it connect etc. However- even in the case of a crash you should not lose your study history, as each card is reviewed it's confirmed and saved on the phone. For example- if you walk out of range from your phone during a review, the watch will not let you proceed because the latest review can't be saved to the phone. If you are indeed losing your entire study session that you completed on the watch before a crash this is a new issue that we haven't seen before and we will take a look at it.

Unable to purchase premium online

Make your website better please; i do not want to buy premium on mobile because refund is impossible, but the website is completely useless.
Also make it easier to create an account by making it so that you can sign up with just an email address instead of being limited to Google, Apple and Facebook account log ins. One more suggestion: change the grading system so that it's not just yes/no; make it from a scale of 1-5 or something.
