  • Very very very slow delivery

    I thought this app doesn’t show if the order has been picked up or not, neither the location of the delivery guy. You have to ask client service for everything but they are not informative. It seems like they just copy paste templates to answer your questions. Two hours after I placed the order, they told me someone was on the way to pick up my food. Finally 30 minutes after that, I can see the map (I thought they don’t have!) and the live update on the map. So basically it took more than 2 hours to pick up my food and another one hour to deliver! Very bad experience!!!

    老是不停地收到促销短信,说回复STOP就可以退订,发了也退订不了,还是继续收到短信,这在加拿大是违法的,麻烦你们把我的手机号码从你们订阅成员列表那里删除

  • Overall good service, but they add additional distance to charge you more

    Generally the app offers that within 7 miles delivery, there’s a flat fee of $2.99, and then they start to add more as your distance gets larger. But I’ve found cases where they will add more miles than what you will find on google map so it goes over the 7 miles limit and you end up having to pay more if you want those restaurants.

  • Expect to wait till eternity

    The delivery ETA was accurate when the app first launched in Seattle area.

    Then it started to have around 30min delays, later 45min and 1hr, on top of the 1.5 hour range they’d show me when placing the order. When I tried to contact customer service they kept saying they are busy and asked me to be patient... 🙃 Best they can offer is a $5 discount for the next order.

    I truly gave up after a recent attempt of their group delivery option. Placed an order by noon, ETA was 3-6pm, and customer service told me another 20mins at 645pm... Not sure when my order actually came cause I left home. I had icy treats in my order and of course they ended up becoming some sweet goo when I saw it. This will be my last order on this app.

  • This app blamed the customer and restaurant for the delay!

    I received an message today that the customer service called me and I didn’t pick up the call so I need to wait another 30mins. It is so weird because I never received a call. Then I go to the online customer service and she claimed that because I left a note that I am not convenient to pick up a call so they didn’t even give me a call and they feel very proud to say that I didn’t pick up the call and that caused the delay. It is a lie. Disappointed about this. You can make a better excuse by telling the truth. But you just choose the stupidest way to blame your customer. I have used another delivery app before like HungryPanda and Ubereat. They never blamed their customers and put effort in making an excuse.

  • They force you to give at least 13% - 20% tips

    I tried to use Fantun for a lunch delivery and my order was 70+ dollars. When I go to the checkout page, you have no choice but to give 13%-20% tips in order to complete your order. However, the distance from the restaurant to my place is only less than 2 miles. The % of tips should not be linked to the amount of your order, but the distance. It also shouldn’t calculate it as dining in, because there’s no service. It is not making sense for customers to give such high tips without proper reasons. None of the existing delivery apps do such things because “tips” are not mandatory or forcible, it doesn’t mean I don’t want to give tips, it should be in a proper amount with reasonable calculation. The logic and concept of tipping drivers in this app are totally wrong and it will be a very big failure. So I quit using before even started. The worst user experience ever! It’s like a ROBBERY, period.

  • The app bans customers for asking refund

    I complained the customer’s support for TWO time and I got ban from the app. Here is the story:

    The first complaint

    It was months ago, I asked for part of the refund due to incorrect delivery fees. The app clearly said that the delivery fees is 2.99$ if the distance is under 7 miles. HOWEVER, it charged me 4.99$ after I placed the order. I double check the distance between my home and the restaurant address with google map, and it is definitely under 7 miles. So, I submitted my proof and asked for my refund. After a long talk, they refunded me back.

    The second complaint

    I ordered 5 dishes from a restaurant and one of them was sold out. Because I already paid the price of five, I asked the restaurant to refund the money. Three hours passed by no refund had been received. So, I was thinking may be the customer service can do something about it. So, I contacted the customer support to check with the restaurant and told them to refund my money. It becomes a long talk and the customer service offered me coupon and I dont want that. I asked for the money refund only. They did give me the refund.

    ONE DAY AFTER THAT, IT SHOWED THAT ALL RESTAURANTS NEAR ME WERE “CLOSED” IN THE APP. SO, I CHECKED MY ROOMATE’s FANTUAN APP AND HE IS ABLED TO ORDER THE FOOD FROM THOSE RESTAURANTS FROM THE APP.
