Thank you for your feedback. Speed Alarm is a visual app and is not intended to function as a background app, and is why there is a feature in the settings menu to disable the sleep mode which will prevent the device from dropping into its sleep/background mode. We would encourage you to download the latest update and try out this feature and also some of the new features which provide pre loaded Points of Interest. Regards Pocket Software.
