Latency issues

Add-on Getting frequent “Cannot connect to GTO servers at the moment” when trying to login in. Latency in app response continues, if and when it connects. I am a techie so ran the gamut and it appears to clearly be a GTO issue. Dropping to one star until they can resolve their server issues in regards to up time and responsiveness. In contrast, Chamberlain garage door opener spot on responsive to open/close and notifications.

App is challenged with delayed notifications and not infrequently slow response time to commands.
As others note got a notice gate was opened last evening half an hour or so after leaving and closing it by remote.
MM100 is 12 feet from high end router and 30 feet from gate showing good connectivity.
Other than this latency it seems to work fine.

App quit working

Worked good for 6 months, then suddenly wouldn’t connect to gto server/ offline message is all I would get. Deleted app multiple times to try to reset, won’t do it, tells me the email address I have had for 15 years is invalid- call tech support, on hold multiple times for 30 minutes before hanging up in frustration, cannot find any way to email or otherwise contact the company. Would have rated 5 stars before this happened, now rate one since 0 isn’t an available option. Extremely disappointed.

Total waste of money! Complete crap!

This company talks a big game in the marketing department but the reality is this junk doesn’t work. Several times a month this app loses connectivity with the server. You cannot get support and after 30-45 minutes on hold, I give up. Eventually after a few hours or a few days the server will come back up and it will work again. I am now on day 4 of no server and fed up with this junk. My new lot in life is to share with everyone how crappy this mighty mule setup is.

Pathetic app and device

Got it last year from Costco. Door opened at night while away on vaca. I came to know that the wall station is faulty and does that. Someone online mentioned about putting a thin layer of foam under the folding cover and that stopped it from activating the door by itself. This is app is bigger problem. Takes forever to Log in and then forever to load the device. Took forever to connect to wifi and loses wifi connectivity if router reboots for any reason say power outage. And guess how to reconnect? Delete and add devices from scratch!🙄Really? Pathetic app and device!

Poor app

I am in agreement with most of the reviews. Most of the time it takes a while for the open/close button to become accessible. Many times it will say it is offline or there is no wifi when there is no issue with the wifi and the receiver is working properly. Sometimes it just won’t log in at all. Many times we have had to use our remote when we get to the gate. We will get multiple notifications or delayed notifications. When it works it is very helpful to have. Problem is, it doesn’t work way more than it does.

A bit buggy

Sometimes the app doesn’t work, sometimes it does. Not sure if it’s the app, or the backend infrastructure. The worst problem though is the notifications. When the gate is opened with a remote, often notifications will come significantly delayed, sometimes by several hours. Also, notifications are often duplicated. Sometimes opening the gate once will result in several notifications. On a couple of occasions, I have got nearly 50 notifications within a two or three minute period. The number of notifications is multiple times more than the total number of times the gate has been opened according to the history. Please please please fix this.

Basic functionality is excellent

If used as a standard opener everything is good. The app geofence feature is disappointing. Reliability closed when we leave but never opens even with the feature enabled. I get a notification on my phone but the door doesn’t open. I tried modifying settings but have decided to move on and just appreciate what it is. Being able to see if the door is open or closed is the most important connected feature to me and that works as advertised.

No alerts

I purchased this item ( $120) because it’s supposed to notify me when my gate is opening. I have the sound option turned on in my notification settings but it doesn’t make a sound. The only way to know if my gate was opened is to randomly check my phone through out the day. Is this a known issue and is it being fixed soon?

Seem to be having similar story to other reviews on here. It worked great for a bit and then started having issues. At time the app won’t open, just stuck with the logging in and spinning circle. Then it became after it did take forever to log in picking the commands did nothing even from inside the garage, on the house WiFi, right under the motor.

Was driving my wife to work at 0330 after being unable to use the appt to open it and driving down the toad 15 minutes from the house an alert comes up saying the door was just opened. Check our house cameras and sure enough door is wide open after with us away from home.

The biggest complaint however is as soon as you set up the Appt any remotes you have programmed are immediately disabled. So sitting in the car, in the garage, with a remote that used to control the door and it won’t open solely because of the app.

Awful app

What an awful app. It worked fine for a few weeks, and then started to backfire. Two nights in a row, the garage door opened by itself. I had not tinkered with auto settings.

I reset the connection, but it would take several seconds, and then minutes, for the app to connect to the internet. I checked internet; every other app and gadget in the house was and is working fine.

And then the most weird thing happened. It would show the door is close when the door would actually be open, and vice versa. I deleted and downloaded the app again. Same story. Any suggestions?
